Matt gets angry and starts getting his kanima to kill more innocent people.  He traps Scott and Stiles.  Derek comes to rescue them but the kanima paralyzes him, and then paralyzes Stiles.  Matt explains to Scott why he is doing everything (because the swim team watched him almost drown in a pool).

Scott's mom sees him turn into a wolf during a fight against Jackson.  She is obviously horrified.  After shooting machine guns at everyone, the Argents get them to run away.  Gerard meets up with Matt and drowns him in a lake.  He then becomes the kanima's master.
