The guys continue to work on their project under a tough deadline, which means they're going to have to work some late nights. Sheldon struggles to stay away, and eventually tries drinking his first ever energy drink. 

Meanwhile, Amy and Penny go to a party, but they end up being the only guests. What they learn there, is that Amy is one of the most popular women on campus, and Sheldon is popular too!

Raj keeps Bernadette company in Howard's absence, and she's having trouble adjusting to being pregnant. Raj suggests things they should do to help prepare for the baby, including preparing the nursery, but Bernadette isn't interested in any of it.

She gets worried that she's not as excited as other moms about the baby. Raj calls his dad so she can ask him for advice. 

Sheldon starts suffering from caffeine withdrawal and eventually admits that he can't do his part to help with the project because he can't figure out the math.

The guys are forced to so see Colonel Williams and admit they can't get the project done in time. Luckily, he's not concerned and asks him how long they need. Howard says two years, and Colonel Williams agrees.
