13 Episodes That Were Banned From TV

11. Married…With Children - “I’ll See You In Court”

In "I'll See You In Court," when Peg and Al try to improve their love life, they follow Marcy's recommendation and head to the Hop-On-Inn, where they find the proprietor is making secret sex tapes of their guests. Knowing this, Peg and Al decide to have sex anyway, but later they, along with Marcy and Steven, sue the Inn. Unfortunately, FOX pulled the episode due to its blatant sexually themed content. It was banned for over a decade, and even once it was eventually shown in 2002, several lines were edited out.

12. The Simpsons - “The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson”

When Barney leaves The Simpsons' car in in front of the World Trade Center in "The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson," the entire family ventures to New York City to retrieve it. Great pains were taken to replicate Manhattan as realistically as possible, and the episode was well received when it originally aired in September 1997.

Unfortunately, the prominence of the World Trade Center's Twin Towers, as well as some dialogue that became insensitive after the September 11th attacks, caused the episode to be pulled from syndication after Sept. 11, 2001. The installment was re-aired beginning in 2006; however, a few scenes were edited out.

13. Hawaii Five-O - “Bored, She Hung Herself”

This one comes from the original series, not the current reboot on CBS. Hawaii Five-O Season 2 Episode 16 is considered the “lost” episode of the series. In “Bored, She Hung Herself” a woman is found hanged to death, but things aren’t necessarily as they appear when a suspect is supposedly able to use a yoga technique to allow a person to hang themselves but survive the experience.

Unfortunately, it's said that after the original airing in 1970, someone attempted the technique in real life and died as a result. CBS not only refused to show the episode in reruns, it pulled it from syndication. Although not officially “lost” (we’re sure someone has it somewhere), the installment was also not released with the DVD set.
