It seemed like after Neil Patrick Harris's role as the iconic title character of Doogie House, M.D. as a child actor in 1989, the guy would foever be typecasted. However, after radically changing his image with a hilarious role of a fictionalized version of himself in Harold & Kumar and as the breakout star of How I Met Your Mother, NPH has proved he's a star to stay.
Now, no one will ever think NPH is merely a child actor after his amazing job hosting the Emmys.
In his personal life, Neil Patrick Harris came out of the closet to People in 2006 and has been with his partner, David Burtka since 2004.
