Filming their upcoming season of Gossip Girl, Blake Lively, Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick were on a large yacht on location in Long Beach, Calif., on Wednesday.

Plot details of the watery event are scarce, but from what we've read, Nate and Chuck stop by Southern California on their world travels and rendezvous with Ms. van der Woodsen, who is already living on the West Coast, as we know.

Think they're trying to keep tabs on her? Trying to convince her to return to New York? Just stopping through for a crazy night of partying en route home?
