During his session with the press today at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, during which he teased a Flash spinoff series, CW President Mark Pedowitz also addressed the latest Arrow Season 2 casting tidbit.
Is Caity Lotz really coming on board as The Black Canary?!?
Pedowitz said Lotz will actually be portraying Laurel’s presumed dead sister Sara. We said you'd be shocked, fans!
“I hope it brings a certain amount of conflict,” Pedowitz said ofthe role, adding of her alter-ego: “I don’t know if this character is … or is not the Black Canary, but it is an origin story. Remember, Laurel Lance was the Black Canary in the DC Universe."
