On Sleepy Hollow Season 1 Episode 12 it comes to light that the answers the witnesses are seeking might be found in Washington's real grave, and Abbie and Ichabod seek to find it.

When a map to purgatory is discovered to be the key to everything, Abbie becomes increasingly alarmed that the prophecy Andy Brooks and Ichabod himself foretold is true: Ichabod will turn on Abbie and deliver her soul to Moloch.

Abbie asks Henry Parrish if he believes in the prophecy, and he reminds her it was not deemed worthy text to make it into the bible and believing in prophecy tends to make them come true.

What follows is a great race much like an Indiana Jones film wherein Ichabod, Abbie and Henry Parrish search for the map and decide what to do with it.

What will Ichabod decide? Can he look beyond his beloved Katrina and to the greater good? Should they find they find the map or will it lead the war as Andy Brooks believes? Is Abbie right to start doubting her fellow witness?
