Could a dance number be in the future for Red Reddington on The Blacklist?

Probably not. But if the hit NBC thriller ever needs one, they've got the right guy on staff.

Will Red Help

Josh Berman, who created the long-running Lifetime series Drop Dead Diva, is reporting for duty as consulting producer at NBC's The Blacklist, TV Fanatic has learned exclusively.

"I was a huge fan of The Blacklist's first season, and I had watched every single episode as a fan. It's an honor to join such a talented team," Berman told me via email.

While Diva was a lighter dramedy, Berman's past experience lends itself to darker, procedural work. He has been involved in such dramas as Bones, CSI and The Mob Doctor, which he also created for Fox.

The Blacklist Season 2 premieres on September 22 on NBC.
