CBS has announced the renewals of two summer dramas:
Under the Dome will return for a third season in 2015, while Halle Berry will anchor Extant's second go-around.
"We're committed to delivering our viewers and advertisers year-round programming with a wide variety of storytelling," said Nina Tassler, Chairman, CBS Entertainment. "We continue to see summer as a great place for unique concepts, innovative business models and passionate television audiences."
Under the Dome ranked as summer’s top scripted series this year, with approximately 11 million households tuning in per week.
Extant, meanwhile, averaged around 8.6 million viewers across all platforms.
For summer 2015, Under the Dome and Extant will join the previously-announced upcoming drama Zoo, based on James Patterson's bestselling novel; and the next edition of Big Brother, which has been renewed for 2015 and 2016.
UPDATE: CBS has also canceled Reckless after one season.
