Ben Woolf, the diminutive actor best known for his portrayal of Meep on American Horror Story: Freak Show, died on Monday of injuries he sustained in a car accident last week.
He was 34 years old.
According to various reports, Woolf was jaywalking across a street in Hollywood when he was side-swiped by the rear view mirror of a passing car.
The 4'4" star, who also played a role on American Horror Story Season 1, was immediately taken to a hospital and placed in critical condition.
Although his condition was later upgraded to stable, Woolf remained heavily sedated until passing away yesterday from a stroke. His organs will be donated to science and help the lives of approximately 50 people as a result.
"We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from all over the world for our beloved Ben," Woolf's family says via statement. "He touched so many hearts in his 34 years."
A memorial service for Woolf will take place next week in Santa Barbara.
We send our thoughts and prayers to his friends, family and loved ones.
