Lifetime has announced that it will air The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 at some point next year, taking viewers behind the scenes of this iconic Fox drama.
According to a press release, The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story will “show the roller coaster ride of the program’s first four seasons, highlighting the drama between cast members and producers both on and off-set."
Last year, the network aired a similar unauthorized story about the Saved by the Bell cast; while the same type of film based on Full House will be televised on August 22.
Beverly Hills, 90210 premiered on Fox in 1990.
It launched cast members Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Jason Priestley, Luke Perry and Tori Spelling to instant stardom and set the standard for all future teen and high school-based shows.
