Mistresses Season 3 Episode 13 Review: Goodbye Girl

Did you guys see what I just saw?

After weeks of theories and speculations, it looks like we've finally learned who was behind Luca's murder. Lets just say it wasn't quite what I was expecting. But besides that killer reveal, there were tons of other things happening on Mistresses Season 3 Episode 13.

I can't be the only one who shed a few tears as one relationship began and another one split forever.

Free at Last - Mistresses

Considering the season she's had, it's only fair to start with Joss, who was finally released from prison. Calista's confession meant Joss was free to reunite with Harry and get on with the rest of her life. And she really did try for a bit, until she received a gift from Calista.

When Calista asked a fellow inmate for a favor, I didn't think for a second it was connected to the gift. By this point, it was fairly obvious that Calista was not the killer and the real culprit was still on the loose. It took Joss longer than I thought it would to realize what Calista had done, but I'm glad we got that scene of them in the prison.

That may have been the most raw we've seen Calista all season, and it was heartbreaking to see her realize that Joss still thought the worst of her. I've been all over the place with my feelings for Calista, but she's slowly won me back over the last few weeks. My heart just about broke when she pulled the rope out from under her pillow. Please don't let this be the last we see of Calista Raines!

Hopefully, Joss will get herself out of the slight jam she's in, and Calista will be set free! And by slight jam, I mean MASSIVE jam, as Joss leaves Mistresses Season 3 with a gun pointed at her by a cross-dressing Wilson.

Yes, ladies and gentleman, it appears Wilson is the killer. A prediction I, and many others, made after Mistresses Season 3 Episode 7

It wasn't shocking he was killer, but the fact that he was dressing up as Calista and parading around town trying to frame her was an interesting twist. Clearly Joss will get out of her predicament (she is the heart and soul of the show after all), but I wonder if she will come out of it unscathed.

Also, how soon until Harry returns? I'm saying he touches down in Europe and takes the first flight back for Joss.

Miranda: Don't be mad at Marc. He didn't hide his drinking from you to be sneaky, he just didn't want you to think any less of him.
April: I'm not sure he cares what I think.
Miranda: Well of course he does. He's in love with you, April. How did you not see that?

Miranda is still an awful character, but I could have hugged her for finally knocking some sense into April! While the slow burn between Marc and April has been nice, it really was time for them to make some moves and I'm glad that April realized her feelings before being confronted by Marc.

When Marc split, I started to wonder if we were going to have to wait to see them get together, but I'm so glad I was wrong. That kiss was well worth the wait and watching them navigate a new relationship considering how different they are will be a great thing to watch in season 4.

Finally, the Karen/Vivian/Alec threesome came to a sad ending as Vivian passed away. The writing was on the wall here, but it was still devastating to see Alec and Karen both struggle with their grief.

Karen: It's happening now, Alec. She's going and you're going to miss it. Do you want to be up here chasing a miracle or do you want to say goodbye to your wife?
Alec: I can't.
Karen: Yes you can.
Alec: I can't bear it, Karen There's got to be something I could do.
Karen: You can be with her.

Vivian's speech to the baby had me in tears and gave me serious Dawson's Creek flashbacks, as I remembered Jen recording a message for her baby right before she passed.

It's going to take a long time for Alec and Karen to recover from the loss, but the arrival of their child will surely bridge the gap that currently exists between them.

While Mistresses hasn't officially been picked up for next summer, I'm hopeful that we'll get another helping of this addictive primetime soap! What are my hopes for next season you ask? A BFF reunion for Joss and Calista is first on the list, followed by more April and Marc adorableness!

Before you tell me what you're hoping to see, I need to get your thoughts on "Goodbye Girl." Were you surprised by the Wilson reveal? Are you excited to see April and Marc together? What's next for Karen and Alec?

Thank you all for reading and commenting this summer! Keep your fingers crossed that we can do it again in 2016!

The season may have come to a close, but that doesn't mean you can't watch Mistresses online right now so you're all caught up!
