Unforgettable: Canceled after Four Seasons

at .

In the end, Unforgettable wasn't as unforgettable as everyone hoped it was.

A&E announced it has canceled the series it saved from a previous cancelation.

That the series lasted four seasons is somewhat of a miracle.

When Unforgettable originally aired on CBS, it didn't do so well. It was canceled after its freshman run in May 2012.

Sony TV then shopped the series to cable outlets, without any luck.

CBS withdrew its cancelation and ordered a second season, set for summer. That second season pickup turned into a third, also for summer.

And then cancelation. Again.

A&E picked up the series, and new contracts were set for series stars Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh. New supporting players were hired.

With the slightest promotion, the series started slow, but still wasn't an overall loss. Nonetheless, A&E opted not to continue. Contracts have expired and actors are seeking pilots.

It just goes to show that miracles really can happen with renewals and cancelations!
