Grey's Anatomy Round Table: There's Something About Owen

at .

Slowly but surely, the major story arcs of the spring episodes are getting wrapped on Grey's Anatomy Season 12 Episode 21. Okay, so the pace is positively glacial, but it was movement. While some relationships are still in a holding pattern, at least Amelia and Owen took a step towards a happy ending!

Join TV Fanatics Stacy Glanzman, Kelly Thompson, and Elizabeth Harlow as they get real and discuss roommate nudity, if it's better to cut and run or stick it out, and cryptic tweets. Share your thoughts in the comments section and keep the conversation going!

When things in a fledgling relationship get rocky, do you choose yourself like Stephanie or do you go all in like Amelia?

Stacy: I'm probably more of a Stephanie and would choose myself. Stephanie really liked this guy, but she knew that if she stayed with him, she'd wind up in the same position over and over again due to his medical condition. It's good she realized early that's not something she can live with and ended it before it got too serious.

Kelly: I honestly don't know what I would do in any position but I understand Stephanie's choice. I'm proud of her for growing up from when she was with Avery. Amelia on the other hand, I do not agree with but that could just be because I'm not a Hunt fan at all.

Elizabeth: I'm more of a Stephanie (on steroids), but I'd like to think that with the right person, I'd have Amelia's bravery. I can really see both sides of this, partly because the situations are different. It's important to know your limits, but also to know when you're just chickening out.

Sara Ramirez tweeted out a pretty cryptic message this week. Do you think she's leaving the show, or just celebrating wrapping the season?

Stacy: She meant for it to be cryptic when she tweeted it, otherwise she would have provided an explanation by now. I don't think it necessarily means she's leaving, but she could be using it as a negotiating tactic. I hope she stays, but they're obviously preparing for the possibility of her leaving with the current story line.

Kelly: Stacy said all there needs to be said on this topic. It's like she took the words out of my mouth.

Elizabeth: With the NDA that the Shonda is notorious for having cast & crew sign, it had to be deliberately cryptic. She hasn't talked about how she's unhappy or tired of the character, so there's no reason to think she *wants* to leave. Here's hoping Callie gets to stick around!

Has a roommate or their paramour ever *ahem* left their toys out where others could see them?

Stacy: Nope, luckily nothing like that has ever happened to me. I've had pretty good roommates. Owen and Amelia should have been more responsible considering there are kids in that house.

Kelly: No. This was ridiculous. If I was Meredith I would have been so angry, she was taking her kids to school and two grown adults were naked in the living of home neither of them own.

Elizabeth: I once had a roommate request that we consider a week of nudity for a class she was taking, and another roomie's former housemate announced she had had sex on the papasan chair in our living room. But in the end, there have been no unwanted and uncomfortable unveilings.

Could you treat a loved one objectively, or would you be relegated to the waiting room?

Stacy: I'm not sure anyone could treat a loved one objectively, which is why there are rules in place forbidding it. Good for Amelia for keeping Stephanie out.

Kelly: I would be in the waiting room. This Stephanie plot seemed very Christina/Teddy-esque so I'm glad they didn't go down that path again.

Elizabeth: I've been in the waiting room many, many times, and my boredom and my worry are usually equal. But I also know I'm an over researcher, and am likely to drive doctors (and myself) crazy with questions and alternative treatments. I should stick to the sidelines for sure.

What was your favorite scene?

Stacy: I have to give props to Penny for not talking crap about Arizona to Callie after spending the day on her service. That really showed maturity and I think Penny knows it's not her place to get in the middle of this. She can be supportive of Callie, but the two of them need to work it out on their own. Also props to Alex for not choosing sides.

Kelly: I loved Richard kicking Arizona into action. If she wants to keep her kid, she needs to start fighting and take this seriously. I don't like that Alex didn't take a side. I was shocked that Meredith and Owen took Callie's side so quickly. Alex is actually friends with Arizona, she was his mentor if anyone should have taken sides it was him.

Elizabeth: I enjoyed all the teasing that Amelia and Owen received, but Meredith chewing out her sisters at the end of the episode took the cake for me. Even if she was slightly off base about Amelia – DeLuca was a roll in the hay, not a lasting romance.

Grey's Anatomy Season 12 Episode 21 Quotes

April [to Arizona]: What did you just see? You stopped talking. Your mouth smiles, but your eyes keep thinking. It's that thing that you do when...
Jackson: April,I'm pretty sure she's just smiling.
April: No, it's that thing that you do when you have bad news and you don't want to say it.

Meredith [to Owen]: I tell my kids, when you're finished with your toys, put them away.
Richard: Uh, good morning.
Meredith: My kids don't need to see your penis, so the same goes for you.
