Quantico Round Table: Are the AIC the Good Guys?

at .

On Quantico Season 2 Episode 12, Alex and Owen began investigating Lydia's activity, and they even set up a trap to lure her, and the AIC, out of the shadows. It worked!

What did Alex and Owen get to show for it? Why they found a location of a beyond sketchy warehouse with a stalker wall that had nothing but photos of people at the Farm, Lydia included.

Carly is AIC. React.

Jasmine: I wasn't entirely surprised because she felt off, but I liked it nonetheless. Is it sad to think that the only reason anyone could put up with Sebastian and his many issues is if they had an agenda or had their own issues? Because that's what I was thinking.

Meaghan: Not really shocked. I'm pretty sure it's impossible for these people to be involved with anyone who isn't mixed up in all of this. Plus, they needed to find a way to push Harry and Sebastian together. Having Carly betray Sebastian and have him kill her to save Harry in the process? Perfect solution.

Allison: I was surprised. Maybe that's because I find the Sebastian storyline snooze-worthy, so I don't pay super close attention to it and anyone in it.

Do you think Ryan is starting to think that the AIC are the good guys?

Jasmine: I think so. He's pretty easy to manipulate if he's under the impression that he's doing the right thing. He's not as far gone as Dayana kept coming across, but he's definitely convinced he's doing good.

Meaghan: Yes, and I can't say I blame him. I am starting to believe they are too. Sure, their tactics aren't the greatest, but I do truly believe that everything they are doing is in the name of national security.

Allison: I definitely think that Ryan is starting to believe in the AIC. I can sort of understand why.

I hope that we get to see the good and the bad of the AIC in the remainder of this season. There are reasons why the intelligence community can't operate without rules or regulations, and it does feel like it's been a while since we were reminded why they are the bad guys.

If you were Alex, would you trust Lydia?

Jasmine: No. I wouldn't trust Lydia as far as I could throw her. I don't trust anyone from the Farm though. Lydia has played too many games to ever really be trustworthy.

Meaghan: Yes but that's only because her being untrustworthy has been shoved down our throats so hard. Normally that means she is probably Alex's number one ally in Quantico world.

But really, at the end of the day, if the AIC is really a sanctioned CIA covert op, she's just doing her job. If that's the case then we really haven't been given a reason not to trust her.

Allison: I would say no solely based off of Lydia leaving Alex for capture/death after collecting the drives. That's a recent betrayal, and that's not one I would be able to forgive and forget. I think that Alex will end up sort of trusting Lydia, only because she has to in order to save Will. I just hope that Alex plays it smart.

Any theories as to what the creepy stalker room was that Owen and Alex stumbled upon (you know, before it blew up)?

Jasmine: OMG! That was one of the most interesting things about the episode, and we didn't get to find out more about it. I have no idea what that's about, but Lydia was in there too, which was unexpected.

Meaghan: I'm gonna assume that whoever's room that is, is the one behind the terrorist organization. My gut reaction tells me that it is either Will or Leon.

Allison: Ooo Meaghan, that's an interesting theory! Maybe Miranda isn't the only one sending operatives to try to uncover the AIC, maybe the Citizen's Liberation Front has someone in the Farm as well.

Another guess is that this room is the beginning of the Citizen's Liberation Front. Of course, it could also be a fake out to get Owen and Alex off the AIC's trail...

Who was your MVP of the hour?

Jasmine: Why Harry of course. He showed everyone how to pick pocket and grift, which I enjoyed immensely. It gave me Leverage vibes and I'm all for Leverage vibes. Also he finally told Sebastian about Elliott.

Meaghan: Harry. No doubt. His reaction when Sebastian was shot made my heart ache. If Quantico gets renewed and Harry doesn't become a series regular, I'm gonna flip out.

Allison: I kind of want to say Carly. She called Alex out on some stuff, like how taking the law into your own hands is only okay if you are Alex Parrish. As much as I love Alex, she seems to forget that she's done some not exactly legal stuff in the name of justice as well.
