The war between Rick and Negan will resume on October 22.

A new poster for the post-apocalyptic drama's upcoming eighth season revealed the news which many fans already suspected.

Season 7 debuted the same weekend last year, while every other season premiere has occurred in the month of October.

The poster also gives fans a tease of what to expect from the looming war that kicked off on The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 16.

Rick will be going head-to-head with Negan, and there are a lot of characters who will be on the fence about which side to use.

Jadis and her team carried out the ultimate double-cross at the close of The Walking Dead Season 7. She made a deal with Rick to go after Negan.

If you watch The Walking Dead online, you will know that Jadis and her people turned their guns to Rick's people when they needed help the most.

However, this did not stop the war from kicking off, and it looks like Season 8 will find many different factions at war.

But which characters will not make it out alive?

The series has a knack for wiping characters out at the drop of a hat, so we'll need to tune in when the series returns to find out how it all plays out.

AMC also released the poster for the second half of Fear the Walking Dead Season 3, which debuts September 10.

Despite some major niggles earlier in the series' run, Season 3 managed to get just about everything right.

With a tighter narrative, it's becoming the show it should have been from the get-go, but we're unsure which of the characters will make it out of the latest drama alive.
