Sophia Bush shocked Chicago P.D. fans when she confirmed earlier this year that she was departing the procedural drama after four seasons in the role of Erin Lindsay

The rumor mill went into overdrive soon after as fans questioned the real motives surrounding the highly publicized exit, but Sophia tried to keep quiet as fans persistently asked her questions.

Last month, she confirmed that she left because "she wanted to" in response to a question from a fan on Instagram.

According to Deadline, however, the true reason for her departure could be linked to co-star Jason Begh's behavior towards herself and two other women on set.

“When it was brought to our attention that there were concerns about inappropriate behavior on set, we promptly began an investigation in partnership with Human Resources and all parties involved,” the network said in a statement to Deadline today.

“As a result of the investigation, we have already taken action, and it is a situation we continue to monitor very closely to ensure all of our employees feel safe and supported.”

According to the report, Beghe was the focus of numerous accusations from the cast and crew of the hit NBC drama. He apparently used highly aggressive and sexually suggestive language. On top of that, he allegedly used intimidating postures as well.

"I am deeply sorry for my behavior, which I know has been hurtful to my friends and colleagues,” Beghe said in his own statement.

“I have struggled with anger issues for some time, and over the past year, I have been working with a coach to help me learn how to mitigate my temper. It’s an ongoing process, and it has been a humbling one.”

“It is a source of great pride for me to be part of Chicago P.D.’s incredible cast and crew. I have personally apologized to anyone who I have upset, and I am committed to doing what is necessary to make up any damage that I may have caused.”

After the investigation, the actor was given a coach to get to the root of the anger issues in an attempt to make the set a more peaceful place.

Voight: You guys got married?
Halstead: Yeah we did.
Atwater: What the hell? Congratulations.

Kim: I killed you didn't I? With what I said about Makayla? Let me be clear, OK? I know that you love her, and she loves you, Adam.
Ruzek: Then why are you--
Kim: I'm not going to take her away from you.
Ruzek: Then why do you got me in a standby position?
Kim: I'm not. I'm trying to protect her. That's all.
Ruzek: But I'm not leaving. I know she's not mine, but she is. She feels like my kid. I love her like she's my kid. I just do not want to feel like I'm going to lose her. I can't do that all the time.
Kim: You won't.
Ruzek: I understand things are complicated between you and me, I just need to know that I have a place with her too. I have a right to be in her life going forward.
Kim: Yeah, we can do that.
Ruzek: Really, yeah?
Kim: Yeah, we were going to do it before with our baby? This modern family? Let's do that now with Makayla
