Hope is her father's daughter alright.

The kid proved throughout The Originals Season 5 Episode 2 that she was not opposed to turning up the heat on her father if it meant she could see him.

There was a lot of chatter online before the airing that said Hope was the one who kidnaped Hayley to draw her father back to town. Maybe I didn't want to believe that Hope is all grown up and using deception to her advantage.

Deep down, Hope is a teenager who wants her family back together, and that's why it was unsurprising that she went to the lengths she did to get everyone back in the same zip code.

Hope is going to be livid that her plan backfired because it sure as hell looks like Hayley is in danger now.

There's no way Hayley's disappearance is not going to be linked to what happened to Henry. It was surprising of Marcel to lock him, but rules are rules.

You could tell it hurt Marcel to put a kid in that situation, but how else would he be able to send the message that he can't let things slide?

His friendship with Hope looks set to continue, and it's crazy to imagine it started all of those years ago when Marcel was attempting to take out her father.

With Henry dead and Hayley missing, the unity in the French Quarter is not going to last much longer. It's only a matter of time before people start pointing fingers.

A part of me thinks that Vincent was the who killed Henry and took away Hayley. He would go to great lengths to save the city, and those tarot cards scared the living daylights out of him.

He also knows what a threat Hope is to everyone in the world. She's a tribrid is capable of far more tham the fraction she knows.

Roman: Can I come in? You know I'm a vampire, right? So, I kind of need you to say it out loud.
Hope: Oh, right, yeah. Come in.

I hope I'm wrong about Vincent because I love his friendship with Freya. They get each other, and it's amazing how far they've come from wanting to get rid of each other.

Did anyone really think Freya was going to be able to leave New Orleans? Every time things are going well for her, she's dragged right back into the thick of it.

It was heartbreaking that she called off her relationship with Keelin like that, but Freya wanted to protect her. There was no way Freya could leave town with her family in such dire straits, and she felt like a burden to Keelin.

Keelin is ready to take the plunge with Freya, but until the villains are at bay and order is restored, there's no way they can keep their relationship going.

If Keelin is out of the picture for a while, it means there's less chance of her being hurt in the crossfire. I can get on board with that, but only if she and Freya reunite at some point.

Then there was Roman. I'm not sold on him. He was definitely lying about being sorry for the way he treated Henry at the school.

He was walking around the house looking for answers about who Hope was, but it would not surprise me if he knew the truth all along.

The only good thing about his appearance was that we got a shoutout about Caroline and Alaric's daughter. Would it hurt to get a glimpse of them in this new timeline?

The time jump has successfully reinvigorated the series and given us a lot of new and exciting storylines, but it seems that Phoebe Tonkin got the short straw.

If Hayley is being killed off, it's a little rude for her to be missing in action entirely leading up to her departure.

There were no reports of her filming anything else while production was underway on the early episodes of The Originals Season 5, so there's that.
