Sharp Objects: New Key Art Released!

at .

Amy Adams is returning to the small screen.

The beloved movie actress will appear on Sharp Objects later this year, and it marks her first TV role since 2006.

Sharp Objects is a drama series that focuses on Camille Preaker, who returns home to cover the murder of a young girl and the disappearance of another.

The reporter finds herself identifying with the victims a little too closely, and it puts a strain on her mental state.

The cast also includes Patricia Clarkson, Chris Messina, Eliza Scanlen, Elizabeth Perkins, Matt Craven, Henry Czerny, Taylor John Smith, Sophia Lillis and Madison Davenport.

Sharp Objects is based on the bestselling novel of the same name.

Having the series land at HBO means that the production values will be huge, and we could be looking at a show that's up there with Big Little Lies.

HBO is billing Sharp Objects as a limited series, but we know that worked out for Big Little Lies. It was a roaring success, so we could in for similar success with this series.

Jean-Marc Vallée aka the director of Big Little Lies Season 1 is directing this show, so there's that.

Sharp Objects Key Art

The official key art has been released by HBO, and it certainly has a lot of angst in it.

For a start, Camille has a crack across her face. Could this mean there are going to be two very distinct sides to the character or something more sinister entirely?
