Colony Season 3 Episode 8 Review: Lazarus

On Colony Season 3 Episode 8, Snyder returns for some insight from Kynes on how to build more colonies like Seattle.

Is that why he's really there?

What Snyder says he's after and what he's actually after are never the same. He never overplays his hand because he's always got a card or two up his sleeve.

Snyder Takes a Tour - Colony Season 3 Episode 8

Snyder is really there to gather information and figure out how close Kynes is to the hosts and what he is doing with them.

It appears Kynes is very close to the hosts since they are sharing technology with him they haven't shared with anyone else.

He must be giving them something pretty valuable in return, and I have a feeling it has something to do with the superhuman guy we saw at the beginning of the hour.

It could be these are humanoids being returned inside the pods. Maybe they're being created to fend off the real enemy, and the hosts are using their technology to create human weapons.

Snyder: How are you feeding all these people? Even with a fraction of your intake, Los Angeles is having ration issues.
Kynes: I'm glad you asked. That's our next stop.

Clothe these new beings in the material found in the briefcase Broussard stole, and you've got an unstoppable force.

Speaking of Broussard, it was nice to see him in action again. Will needed someone of the same skillset on his side. Amy doesn't fit with Broussard.

Broussard: What do you get out of it?
Will: When you're done, I'm gonna kill him.

Broussard's an even-tempered, methodical dude, and Amy's a spaz.

She might have connections that got them into Seattle, but if Amy's going to be involved in missions with Broussard and Will, she needs to learn to go with the flow.

It's understandable that Will doesn't trust her. Hell, he doesn't trust anybody at this point!

I doubt he even trusts himself.

Will Spots Snyder - Colony Season 3 Episode 8

When Charlie died on Colony Season 3 Episode 5, it took a chunk out of Will, and even though he looks like Will, he's just a shell of his former self. He's a shell filled with nothing but pain.

Sure, he can function and do his job, but he's only going through the motions of living.

Seeing Snyder ignited a spark in Will. And a deadly one at that.

Knowing Snyder, he'll sweet talk his way out of being a victim of Will's aggression, so I'm not too worried about Will's threat.

It's just the LA colony in a shinier package.

Will

Will isn't thinking clearly. Snyder will set Will straight and show the pain HE feels for Charlie's death, and that will spare his life.

Thank goodness because Colony wouldn't be half as fun without Snyder.

I am surprised at Katie. She puts way too much trust in that Michelle person where she works.

Katie's showing all her cards! Come on; she's smarter than that. Or she was.

Now she's just running around blabbing about all the tidbits she discovered in Seattle.

A Dark Side - Colony

Be quiet! Be selective!

She doesn't know this person. Why is she spilling her guts to Michelle? Katie shouldn't trust her. Michelle is the kind of person who doesn't want any trouble, and when she hears of trouble, she'll go right to the top and tell anyone who will listen.

I liked that Katie was investigating where the people from the Seattle welcome area are really going. We still don't know exactly where they're going, but as I said after Colony Season 3 Episode 7, it has a Nazi concentration camp feel to it.

That was especially true when the friendly creepy voice came over the speaker on the bus telling the travelers how lucky they were to be going to Portland.

How wonderful!

Katie: You knew about this.
Michelle: I have no idea what you're talking about because I don't ask the wrong kinds of questions.

Don't get your hopes up, people. I don't think that's where you're going. When I heard that announcement, I got a sick feeling in my gut. These people are going to their death.

Maybe they're being turned into food. Maybe that's the secret to growing food without dirt or sunshine. Soylent green, anyone?

Wherever they're going, it's not good. Katie's going to need help figuring it out. Once she discovers Broussard is in town, there's no doubt she will seek his help.

Lord knows Will isn't going to listen to her.

Bram is Gracie's Stand-in Parent - Colony Season 3 Episode 8

The Bowman family is so broken. Thank goodness Bram's looking after Gracie. He's stepping up for her.

I'm sure when he moves to his own apartment he'll try to take Gracie with him. I mean, who else is going to take care of her? Not Will and Katie.

Over to you, Colony fans. Why do you think Snyder is really in Seattle? Were you excited to see Broussard back in action? Do you think Will is going to kill Snyder?

I'd love to hear your theories on the superhuman.
