Geoffrey Owens has booked his primetime TV return!

A few days after he was job-shamed for working at Trader Joe's between gigs, Tyler Perry took to Twitter with an offer for Owens.

"I’m about to start shootings OWN’s number one drama next week!," Perry said of OWN's The Haves and the Have Nots.

"Come join us!!! I have so much respect for people who hustle between gigs. The measure of a true artist."

According to TMZ, the actor has accepted the offer and will fly out to Atlanta next week to begin filming the sixth season of the hit drama series.

What's more, he is said to be a recurring player on the new season and will appear on at least 10 episodes.

A photo of Owens bagging groceries at Trader Joe's went viral over the weekend, and the star appeared on ABC's Good Morning America to address the controversy.

He opened up about the support he has received from fans and actors.

“It’s really overwhelming — in a good way,” he said of the way people reacted.

“When I first saw those pictures… I was really devastated.” However, thanks to the response to the whole thing, “the shame part didn’t last very long.”

Owens is a seasoned TV veteran who has appeared on hits such as Lucifer, The Blacklist and The Affair.

His biggest role, however, was as Elvin Tibideaux on the hit sitcom, The Cosby Show.

This is certainly a quick turnaround given that the picture went viral just days ago, but it's horrifying that someone opted to shame Owens for his job.
