Jeffrey Dean Morgan Weighs In on Supernatural Ending: 'That Was One Hell of a Run'

Now that the dust has started to settle on the shocking news that Supernatural is ending with its upcoming fifteenth season, another original star has weighed in on the shock announcement. 

“That was one hell of a run,” Morgan, who played John Winchester, tweeted on Tuesday.

“I hope this last year is enough time to wrap up a story that deserves only the best. My love to cast, crew and fans. @JensenAckles and @jarpad ya done us proud.”

Morgan recently returned for the long-running series' 300th episode, reuniting his character John with his sons, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles), and his wife, Mary (Samantha Smith).

Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins have made the announcement that the show was coming to an end on Friday. 

"We just wanted you to hear from us that though we’re excited about next year, it will be the finale. The big, grand finale of an institution,” Ackles said.

Added Padalecki: “We’ve cried some tears, and we’ll cry some more. [We’re] grateful, and we’ll work all the emotion into next season.”

By the time the show wraps, it will have aired 327 episodes. Yes, it's a huge number of episodes.
