Fanatic Feed: Alexis Denisof Joins Legacies, American Horror Story Season 9 Teaser, and More!

Here is a wrap-up of all the news you need to know from Monday, July 29, 2019.

Titans is still rounding out its cast just over a month ahead of its sophomore debut.

Deadline is reporting that Good Girls Revolt actress Genevieve Angelson in the role of Dr. Eve Watson, a researcher who works at Cadmus Labs.

The lab was first teased on Titans Season 1 Episode 11 when Connor Kent was shown in the place in a post-credits sequence.

No other details have been revealed, but we're sure we will find out more soon when the official trailer drops.

Legacies Season 2 may still be a few months away, but this addition to the cast is going to make the wait a whole lot longer.

TV Line is reporting that Buffy the Vampire/Angel grad, Alexis Denisof has joined the cast as Professor Vardemus, an "urbane British sorcerer."

The character is described as “a bit of a dandy, [Vardemus] wins over the Salvatore students with his steadfast belief in the superiority of their supernatural world.”

Denisof's first appearance is on Legacies Season 2 Episode 2, and he is attached to recur throughout the season.

Is it just us or does this casting news make you a whole lot more excited for Legacies Season 2?

The cast and crew of Legacies descended upon San Diego Comic-Con earlier this month and dropped a considerable amount of intel.

The Vampire Diaries/The Originals successor is also bringing in an older vampire in Descendants actor Thomas Doherty. He is attached to play someone who will get very close to Lizzie Saltzman.

We're not sure Alaric or Caroline will be happy about that!

Meanwhile, the forthcoming Highschool Musical TV series has a premiere date!

The series, titled High School Musical: The Musical: The Series will debut on November 12 aka the same day Disney+ launches.

The series follows "a group of students at East High who stage a performance of High School Musical for their winter theater production, only to realize that there is as much drama that happens offstage there is onstage."

Joshua Bassett, Olivia Rodrigo, Kate Reinders, Sofia Wylie, Matt Cornett, Dara Renee, Julia Lester, Frankie Rodriguez, Larry Saperstein, and Mark St. Cyr.

Over on FX, the cabler has dropped a brand new teaser for American Horror Story: 1984 and it shows us some of the campers who fall prey to a deranged serial killer.

None of the series regulars are present, so this appears to be one of the teasers that are not actual footage from the series.

Still, it's very eerie.
