YOU Season 2 Teaser Unveils Joe's New Identity

at .

A new teaser trailer for YOU Season 2 gives us our first glimpse of Joe Goldberg's new identity.

Joe takes on Los Angeles culture, noting that “everyone is pretending to be somebody they’re not,” including himself.

If you watch YOU online, you know Joe's time in New York ended with the murder of Beck, the woman who was the object of his affection during YOU Season 1

On YOU Season 2, the villain has relocated to Los Angeles, and it's not the type of place he likes to be associated with.

“Love has taken me to some pretty dark places,” Joe says. “But Los Angeles has to be as dark as it gets.”

YOU Season 2 Poster

He enters an L.A. coffee shop and is quick to judge every single person in the establishment. There's a social media influencer, and even an aspiring screenwriter.

He then walked up to the barista and unveiled his new identity.

“I’m Will,” he answers as he makes his order.

YOU Season 1 followed Joe as he became a little too obsessed with a woman named Beck after she walked into the bookstore he worked in.

Killer Joe - YOU

Ultimately, he wound up killing her. It was a harrowing watch, but it was so addictive!

YOU Season 2 finds Joe arriving in Los Angeles and quickly finding a new person to stalk.

Victoria Pedretti of The Haunting of Hill House fame will play Love Quinn.

It's unclear how the two meet, but there's still no telling what became of Candace, played by Ambyr Childers.

Childers was upped to series regular, so we're going to assume she's sticking around. What does that mean for Joe?

Time will tell.

Charlie Barnett (Chicago Fire), Robin Lord Taylor (Gotham), Chris D’Elia (Undateable), James Scully (Heathers), and Jenna Ortega (Jane the Virgin) round out the rejigged cast.

Pretty Prisoner - Tall - YOU Season 1 Episode 10

Having Joe in a new setting is something that will be fun to watch, depending on his actions.

He needs to face justice for the things he's done. If you're wondering why YOU is no longer on Lifetime, the cabler scrapped it.

The ratings were not where the network wanted it to be.

December is a busy month for Netflix with the debuts of Fuller House Season 5A, V Wars, and The Witcher.
