Spoilers - Billions Season 7 Episode 12

Obliterating Mike Prince

Nothing is more important for many characters in the show than seeing Prince fall and never get up again.

This common goal has seen the unification of factions that have been mortal enemies throughout the series' run.

Chuck had been trying to get Mike for most of the seventh season, but Prince collected wins everywhere he went.

Against all odds, Mike secured himself a place in the halls of politics, something that made three people angry.

It is worth saying that the grounds for barring Mike Prince from running for the presidential seat are fickle, and as a result, this attempt's outcome is not worth investing in.

We explored how the show's ending is of little to no importance.

But that withstanding, the episode promises a lot of Bobby Axelrod, and it is always fun to see him make plays.

This will be his biggest and most ambitious one yet.

Billions Season 7 Episode 11 left a nasty feeling in our mouths as we contemplated a mildly disappointing outcome in the series finale, where Mike charted forward in his ambitions and secured an invite to Camp David.

Still, in the same episode, he secured the support of Governor Dunlop.

But if you're like me, you are very suspicious of when things start going your way. You wait for a tragedy so huge all the wins won't matter, or you look out for a guardian angel.

It seems Mike had been so caught up in the excitement that he missed signs of a plan.

On his end, Chuck had been working on something, and it seems the plan is ready for execution because he calls the entire office to a meeting, and when he does that, it's game time.

He informs them that they will be embarking on something, and it must be done in the stealthiest manner possible to prevent alerting Mike.

Does it have anything to do with scaring Mike into liquidating his assets?

Elsewhere, Mike could not be bothered because he is finally going to Camp David to meet up with the people.

By "the people," I mean those who work behind the shadows and exert significant influence. If he gets an in with them, well, his political career is minted.

Prince has a lot riding on the meeting being a success. It must be a success.

However, he leaves Camp David furious and fuming fire.

Bradford's Concern - Billions Season 7 Episode 12

It is unknown what happens there – if he even gets in – but he returns to MPC looking for blood. Remember Billions Season 7 Episode 1 scene where he breaks glass screaming? We will get that scene because someone has betrayed him.

Dunlop is in on the Plan

There were suspicions that Governor Dunlop was not Team Prince, and these suspicions are confirmed.

Her pledging support to Prince was part of Axe's plan to remove Prince from the picture entirely. In his words, Axe doesn't want to break Prince. He wants to get Prince off the grid.

He meets with Dunlop to strategize how to go about it.

Nothing breaks a man faster than dangling hope before them and pulling it back just as quickly.

Philip Switches Sides

Philip Charyn is not the easiest character to like. He tries too hard and must make a show out of everything.

But what if he isn't as stupid as we peg him to be?

She must have seen something in him when Wendy wanted to bring him into the fold. Maybe he saw Prince exactly how she, Taylor, or Wags saw him.

Philip might not hold a lot of love for Prince and does his job because he doesn't want to disappoint his uncle.

But he questioned Scooter about why Scooter goes along with every one of Prince's whims without questions.

Swinging By - Billions Season 7 Episode 12

The episode sees him get curious and take a meeting with Wendy.

And Wendy preaches the gospel to him about Prince, the big bad.

If Philip had inclinations to go against Prince, it wouldn't be hard for Wendy to push him in that direction.

He is seen conferring with the remaining Axe Cappers. What are they planning?

Dave Returns

When Chuck ousted Dave from her position, she was angry. Chuck Rhoades has a way of softening people up by making promises, and he did that to her.

Hauling in Prince is too big of an event for her to miss. What part does she play in the plan?

The episode's logline teases betrayal, which can come from all corners.

Talking to Dave - Billions Season 7 Episode 12

Torre is at the forefront of that at Chuck's office.

Many people at MPC can betray Prince.

Based on how performative Philip has been this season, there's reason to believe he was in on the plan.

The show brushed past the fact that Wendy began seeing a therapist who promised to help her take Prince down. Where has she been all along? Is she part of the plan?

Aside from the outcome of the attack on Prince, the series finale needs to set up a good ending for the characters and, if possible, usher in the next stage of the Billions universe.

"Admirals Fund" airs on Sunday, October 29, on Showtime, but you can stream the episode early on Friday, October 27, on Paramount+ with Showtime.
