Best Medicine Sneak Peek: Small Town Medical Mishaps Are Embarassing – Martin Clunes Appears!

Best Medicine has excelled at capturing small-town charm, family drama, and embarrassing moments.

Dr. Martin Best has not shared much about his life, but we’ve gotten the impression that he became a doctor to please his overachieving father.

He’s implied that he wanted to make him proud, but their relationship remained rather distant.

If you’ve been reading our Best Medicine coverage, you know that Martin cares more about keeping his patients safe and healthy than anything else.

He’s often very gruff and clinical and doesn’t appreciate other people getting involved.

We scored an exclusive sneak peek, which shows Martin’s father, Robert, examining one of his patients.

It’s the moment many fans have waited for since Martin Clunes portrayed Martin Best on the original Doc Martin years ago.

It will be entertaining to watch the two “Dr. Bests” interact. We’ll see where Martin inherited his grumpiness and his clinical skills from.

As the clip begins, you can’t help but feel sorry for the male patient who was experiencing a genital infection.

It’s bad enough having one doctor looking down there, but to have two is just downright embarrassing.

Father and son argue whether to treat the infection with some prescription cream or a steroid injection, only making the patient feel more self-conscious.

You have to respect Best Medicine for not being afraid to address these issues. Martin’s dad is so direct, he’s funny!

It felt like Martin had finally become more comfortable with treating everyday ailments, while his dad still rushed in with city solutions.

It’s not what you would expect, and Hal had my utmost sympathy. He had to disrobe in that room and listen to those two bicker about his treatment.

While Martin and his dad disagreed on almost everything, they agreed on only one thing, their name, and it was delightfully funny.

Best Medicine is new tonight and looks like a must-see episode.

The hour is titled “Doc Martin” and should be an entertaining and heartwarming hour as Martin’s parents visit, and the series focuses on the complex father-son relationship.

Martin suspects his father may have a serious health condition after his father shares some odd news with Sarah.

We saw that while they disagreed, father and son also worked in unison.

They’ll need that as they tackle their toughest challenge yet – operating on Mark together.

That could make or break their relationship. Poor Mark!

In addition, Louisa acts as the temporary principal and oversees the annual Spirit Week sleepover.

It sounds like another winning hour of television.

You can catch Best Medicine at 8/7c tonight on FOX.

I liked this episode better than any of the previous.

Parts of this show are so annoying, but I can watch it as a respite from the intense shows I love. Cops, FBI, Chicago Med, law and orders!
