PRESTON: "You need to go. I cannot do this with you in here. I cannot think."
CRISTINA: "You know in movies, how the hero and there's always the other guy, the one who sees danger and runs in the opposite direction?"
PRESTON: "Yes."
CRISTINA: "Be the other guy."
PRESTON: "That's not an option."
MEREDITH: [with her hand on the bomb, in the patient] "Is this the strangest thing that’s ever happened in your O.R.?"
PRESTON: "I would have to say it is."
MEREDITH: "Good, because I'm very competitive."
PRESTON: [smiles] "The very best surgeons always are."
DEREK: "I don't want to be the guy that killed Bailey's husband."
PRESTON: "I don't want to be the guy who kills us all."
MEREDITH: "Stop it."
DYLAN: "What?"
MEREDITH: "Stop looking at me like I'm a patient."
DYLAN: "I'm sorry?"
MEREDITH: "The two of you are looking at me the way we look at patients. Like I’m gonna freak out at any minute. Well, I'm not going to freak out, so whatever it is, just tell me straight up."
PRESTON: [pauses] "The main oxygen line runs directly under this floor."
MEREDITH: "Okay. Not okay." [silence] "Well, I need one of you to tell me what this means exactly. Because I think I know what it means, but I tend to be glass half-empty these days, so I don’t trust what I think it means. Because what I think it means is that if the bomb were to explode over the oxygen line, the whole hospital could blow up. That’s just crazy right?"
PRESTON: "Never have I questioned a fellow surgeon in their O.R. I never understood what the problem was -- an intern dating an attending -- until today."
CRISTINA: "I'm not used to being wrong."
PRESTON: "I know. But you're an intern. Second guessing a resident? That's not your job."
PRESTON: "His injuries are far less severe. We have a much greater chance of saving him."
DEREK: "Well I could argue that because her injuries are more severe, he should be the one that gets moved."
MEREDITH: "So, basically, whoever you move doesn't stand a chance. How do you choose? How do you decide who gets to live?"
MEREDITH: [narrating] "Everybody's a liar."
PRESTON: "Dr. Grey, is that a dog?"
MEREDITH: [holding dog by the leash] "No."
MIRANDA: "Tell me that is not a dog."
ALEX: "It's not a dog."
PRESTON: "You forged my signature?"
MEREDITH: "That’s really bad, right?"
PRESTON: "Yeah, that’s really bad." [pauses] The next time you decide to forge my signature, let me know. Save me a trip."
MEREDITH: "That’s it? You're not gonna yell and say 'Dammit, Grey' and then storm off?"
PRESTON: "I will if you want me to."
MEREDITH: "That's okay."
CRISTINA: [enters room naked, in silence]
PRESTON: "Cristina what the hell are you doing?"
CRISTINA: "Getting comfortable in my apartment."
GEORGE: [holds hands over face] "I didn't see anything."
PRESTON: [to George] "Get out!"
CRISTINA: [smiles] "Stick to the basics."
PRESTON: "So where do we stand?"
CRISTINA: "At the northeast corner of the hospital?"
PRESTON: "I don't want preferential treatment."
RICHARD: "And you're not gonna get it. You're not married, you're not hiding. You came to me. You clearly value your relationship. What you two have together, I understand that, Preston, and it does matter."
PRESTON: "You're a good person."
CRISTINA: "No, I'm not."
PRESTON: "You're helping a friend."
CRISTINA: "Are his problems surgical?"
PRESTON: "No."
CRISTINA: "Then we can't help him."
