Violet: Standing order 12?
Gallo: Really?
Violet: In the interest of preventing any medical complications from spinal injury, any patient with an indication of neck trauma should have the administration of a cervical collar before transportation.
Gallo: You memorized that?
Violet: You didn’t?
Gallo: OK, Violet. Quiz me.
Violet: Standing order 89?
Gallo: A patient whose behavior suggests a lack of cognitive capacity can neither consent to nor refuse care. Boom. S.O. 41?
Violet: Duh, contamination of a crime scene or evidence is to be avoided. Please, that’s really the best you’ve got.
Ritter: I guess this is how overachievers flirt.

Foster: If you have something to say, say it to my face.
Brett: Will you stop acting so entitled? You have been on my case since yesterday. You had no business questioning my medical ability on that call. I am the paramedic in charge, and we had a patient’s life on the line.
Foster: That’s exactly what I spoke up. I have the experience, and a nasotracheal intubation …
Brett: Is a risky procedure, but it is one that I have personally performed dozens of times in the field.
Foster: OK, well, I couldn’t have known that.
Brett: Emily, you didn’t have to know that. It wasn’t your call to make. You may think that your education makes you a better paramedic than me, but I earned my as PIC after years of experience in the field. I chose this life. It wasn’t a backup plan, it wasn’t a consolation prize, so if you don’t respect that fact, maybe you need to see if some other house will take you in because I am losing my patience, fast.

I really don’t want to be getting in the middle of your drama, but I have to say my piece. There are three women on this shift. We need each other. We can’t be doing this. So I am asking, for a minute, set aside your own stuff and just hear each other out because 51 needs you, and I need you. Truce?

Kidd

Delaney: So Morris over there, he kicks the door down, and guess what he finds? Twins – little girls about 4 years old. Channel 9 News got a shot of him coming out the front. He had a kid under each arm. That was a hell of a fire. You guys missed out. How much do I owe you?
Herrmann: 6 bucks.
Delaney: I thought it was 3.
Herrmann: Well, there’s an extra tax for local celebrities.

Seager: I know it’s not quite as exciting as all that, but I pulled another case I think would be right up your alley – distillery, out near the Port of Chicago. They’re claiming industrial espionage. Headquarters detailed some extra staff to OFI to help lighten the load, but frankly, they don’t have your eyes. I thought maybe you and I could grab lunch tomorrow, just to talk it through.
Severide: Listen, I appreciate you keeping me in mind, but I need to put my focus back where it belongs: with Squad 3 and House 51. Sort of keep myself tied down to one thing.
Seager: Hear you loud and clear lieutenant.

Brett: Were you drinking that in the shower?
Kidd: Multitasking.
Brett: You know I can set up an IV to mainline caffeine directly into your system.
Kidd: Would you?

Brett: How'd it go with Dawson?
Casey: Great, actually.
Brett: Ah, that's so, so good to hear.
Casey: Yeah, thanks for talking me into that.
Foster: Uh-huh.
Brett: What?
Foster: So, so good to hear.
Brett: Stop. He seems happy. That makes me happy.

All those little voices you're hearing in your head, they're telling you to stay in arson. How many more like Dustin Caldwell are out there, getting railroaded, because someone as good as you wasn't there to help them?

Seager

Otis: Prepare yourselves for the main voyage of the Starlight 5000. Superior technology developed by superior minds.
Herrmann: Hey, you two knuckleheads, you shouldn’t be anywhere near a flying object.
Otis: Back off Herrmann. You know what we have that you’ll never have?
Herrmann: What’s that?
Otis: Best friend magic. No one can take that away from us.
Cruz: Crotis forever baby.
Otis: Crotis forever.

Boden: Actually, it’s me who owes you an apology. Your accident was a wakeup call for me. Look, we were all dealing with Otis’ death in our own way – some quietly, some making big changes in their life. For me, I had to find myself a project, and that was you.
Kidd: Chief.
Boden: I piled on you, and I piled on you. It’s not fair, and I am truly, genuinely sorry.
Kidd: Hey, I liked being your project. You showed me that I could be a leader in the CFD. You gave me more confidence – real confidence – than I ever had before that, and I appreciate that more than you know.
Boden: I’ve got to find a better way from which to mentor you from now on. Agreed?
Kidd: I just don’t want you to regret choosing me.
Boden: No, never.
Kidd: Thank you, chief. You mean the world to me.

Hey, it was great seeing you, being with you. It brought back so many memories – good memories, best of my life. My only regret is that we didn’t have more time to spend together. So if you want to spend your next furlough in a disaster area, consider yourself invited. There will always be room in my tent Matt Casey.

Dawson

Foster: Did eyeliner girl not teach you anything? She literally had a pencil jammed in her socket. There’s no need for either of us to be presentable to do the job.
Brett: Um, she did land on me, which is why this morning I put my lip gloss on at home and not in the car.

Chicago Fire Season 8 Quotes

The order was mine. In a fire scene, in all the chaos and unpredictability, a firefighter can only relay back to his incident commander the information he has at the time, but it is up to the chief to make a decision where or when to send the additional resources … It was I, not Captain Casey, not anyone else, but I who ordered them into the fire scene. So if you are looking to blame someone, if you are looking for a human scapegoat, blame me.

Boden

Cruz: I know you’re going up to a better place and I know when you get there, they’re going to welcome you with open arms. Maybe, you could save us a place to live up there together, you know. I’ll be there someday. I love you brother. I love you, and I’m going to miss you.
Otis: Brother, I will be with you always.
