Jharrel says he’s been missing for a year. Tanner tells Jharrel that Manny isn’t missing -- they are holding him somewhere else.

At the bar, Claudette asks Keisha about Jharrel. All Keisha knows is that he’s in custody. Keisha offers to take some of the donations to the hotel. Claudette thanks Keisha for helping and tells her to watch her back. As a 4400 sympathizer, Keisha is at risk now, too.

In bed with Andre, Shanice worries about her responsibility towards the 4400. Andre reassures here that now they have their freedom, which is the main thing. The Bois Blanc life may not be sustainable, but it will do for now. Mariah video calls and sees them in bed together.

As a storm approaches, Claudette checks the alley behind the bar with her baseball bat. Mildred is there, looking rough. Claudette takes her in.

Agent Tanner brings Jharrel some food. He’s still being detained. Again, Jharrel asks to see Manny. He just wants to know his brother is safe. Agent Tanner says they are taking care of him.

FLASHBACK: Jharrel visits Manny, who is under house arrest and wears an ankle monitor. Jharrel brings papers for Manny to sign, asking if the house arrest is why he didn’t come to the funeral. Manny breaks down in a coughing fit, and he has a fever. Jharrel offers to stay and help him.

At Claudette’s apartment, Claudette offers Mildred a drink, but Mildred reminds her she’s underage. While Mildred looks around, Claudette asks why she threw Bill Greene out the window. Mildred says she just wanted to help, but she didn’t have a plan.

Claudette suggests Mildred go to the sanctuary, but Mildred thinks they all hate her there. She tells Claudette she doesn’t have her powers anymore -- the Rev took them away. Claudette reassures her.

Shanice calls Mariah back, and they have a video chat. Shanice talks to Mariah about setting up crowdfunding for the 4400. Mariah suggests they need a brand reboot and offers to help.

Agent Tanner angrily bursts in on Jharrel, asking what Manny was working on. Jharrel calmly asks her to ask Manny. Tanner shows Jharrel a picture of Manny’s tattoo. Tanner says she needs info from Jharrel, or she won’t be able to help his brother.

Jharrel looks at the photo of the tattoo, which reads, “MATEO.”

FLASHBACK: Jharrel argues that Manny should still be resting. Manny, overheated, is fixing the air conditioning. As Manny is shirtless, Jharrel notices Manny had his “MATEO” tattoo covered up. They argue about their father -- Manny didn’t want his father’s name on his skin anymore.

Manny says he has a private-sector job, and they didn’t want him to work for anyone else. Manny says he doesn’t cave to bullies and wouldn’t do what they wanted him to — not his dad or the government.

Soraya and Keisha meet up. Keisha brings the copy of “A Wrinkle In Time” to Soraya, hoping the “tech-spert” can break the clock code and figure out Manny’s message to Jharrel.

The Rev and Keisha bring donated hot food to the 4400. The elevator they are on loses power, and they are stuck.

The thunderstorm rages. Shanice realizes that everyone else has power. It’s not the storm -- their power has been deliberately cut. Shanice tells everyone to go back to their rooms. Andre goes to gather supplies from downstairs.

Claudette starts to give Mildred a makeover - first, a haircut. Mildred is triggered by the haircut and pulls away. She tries to use her powers on Claudette but is frustrated when she cannot. Claudette comforts her and calms her down.

Soraya and Agent Tanner stand behind the one-way glass. Jharrel tells them he knows they don’t have Manny. Agent Tanner mentions to Soraya that Manny was ID’d a week earlier, but they have no idea where he is now. Soraya says she’ll try to get the information out of Jharrel.

The claustrophobic Rev starts hyperventilating. Keisha calms him down. She shares that she used to have panic attacks, but an ex of hers taught her the technique. The Rev realizes that Keisha is a lesbian.

Andre collects candles and supplies from the basement. A hooded figure breaks in. Andre lifts a stool in defense -- but it’s just Logan.

Logan says there’s a crowd out front, which is why he snuck in. He is bringing supplies — camping gear and a generator. Andre says his candles may be old-fashioned, but they’ll last longer. Logan takes his flashlight and goes to help the others.

Soraya enters and talks to Jharrel. Jharrel feels betrayed by her. Soraya shows him the “A Wrinkle In Time” book.

FLASHBACK: Manny and jharrell cook together, even though Manny still can’t taste or smell. They laugh together, happy that vaccines are on the way. Jharrel apologizes for not seeing Manny for himself back then.

The Rev tells her that his son is gay, and she realizes that’s why he hasn’t reached out to him. Keisha tells the Rev that many religions are more accepting now, and she’s disappointed in him.

They hear a voice. Keisha calls for help. The voice says he will help them.

Andre and Logan walk together. Logan notes the generator door is locked and believes someone did this to them. Andre goes to pick the lock. Logan asks Andre about World War I. Logan mentions that he met Shanice at a protest. Andre says he’s not picking the lock and opens the door with a firecracker.

Soraya asks Jharrel about Manny’s code. Soraya shows him that some words in the book are circled. It becomes clear that she is doing her best to help him without letting on to Agent Tanner. Jharrel expresses that he just wants to find his brother, confirming this was his favorite book.

Soraya leaves the book with him. Agent Tanner lets Jharrel go, but Jharrel stealthily takes the book with him.

In the elevator, the lights come back on. The Rev says he didn’t mean to offend Keisha. She says that she won’t tell the 4400 that he’s homophobic but remarks that his son is better off without him.

Jharrel returns to the hotel. Keisha greets him with a hug. Jharrel says he has the book and has figured out the code. The words “white” and "would” are circled, which translates to Bois Blanc. Manny must be in the hotel.

There is a new hand on the clock on the book’s cover, pointing to the space between the two and the six. Jharrel deduces that the space is a number.

FLASHBACK: Manny mentions that his house arrest will be over soon, and vaccines will soon be available. Jharrel brings him some beers. Manny shows Jharrel what he actually does for work -- he explains the golden ratio -- the Fibonacci sequence -- and how it works in nature.

Manny explains that his job is to examine what would happen if the space between the golden ratio was altered. Manny heads out to get tamales and says he wants to hear more about Jharrel’s views. After Manny leaves, Jharrel notices a green light flash outside the window.

Jharrel tells this to Keisha. He explains that he has to find the space, and he figures out that the clues reveal Manny is likely in Room 437 at the hotel. Jharrel thanks Keisha for believing in him and his brother.

Logan and Andre note how well they get along and enjoy each other’s company. The power comes back on.

After Logan leaves, Shanice finds Andre and tells him that shank tells Andre that a company called BHN made a considerable donation to their crowdfunding page, expressing solidarity, and even bought the Bois Blanc.

Claudette makes a poster of Mildred and puts it up. It reads, “embrace your power.”

Jharrel goes to room 437, but it seems empty. Slowly, Manny appears. He has the power of invisibility.
