Recap

Mildred practices her powers on a wooden duck. Hayden notices her and watches her critically. Logan rushes in, saying Rev is hurt.

Logan brings in Shanice, Mildred, Andre, Keisha, and Jharrel to help the Rev. The Rev has vanished. Logan insists that the Rev was just there and he had been stabbed -- the bloody knife remains on the floor.

Keisha tells Andre not to touch anything, as it’s a crime scene. Mildred telekinetically picks up the knife and puts it in a bag. When she explains that her powers are back, Jharrel goes off searching for Manny.

The former security guards (including Ken and Steve) loiter outside Claudette’s bar. She tosses the bat to Ken, telling them to do their worst. They smash up the windows. When they are done, they give Claudette an envelope to give to Mildred. Ken drops the bat, and the security guards leave.

Shanice and Mildred return to the party, telling everyone that the Rev is missing and that there was blood but no body. Ji-Yeun accuses Mildred of being behind it. Hayden agrees, citing a vision he had as a warning of Mildred’s violent nature.

Ji-Yeun reminds them what Mildred did to Bill Greene. Mildred is upset at the accusations.

FLASHBACK: Mildred and her older sister Millicent live in a hippie commune, where their mother abandoned them many years ago.

Millicent is sad that she had to kill a chicken and mentions someone speaking to her about veganism. Mildred says they are part of a circle/food chain, and she is happy to be safe.

Mildred notes that Millicent has her special community bracelet, and Mildred is excited to get hers one day.

LaDonna checks on Mildred in their room. Mildred wants to leave, convinced the rest of the 4400 hate her. Mildred is distraught that Hayden accused her of being a killer. LaDonna convinces Mildred to stay, stating that it will look bad if she sneaks out.

Shanice checks on Logan. He’s weirded out that the body just disappeared. Keisha comes in, checking on both of them, and asks Logan to stay as he was the only witness to a crime.

Shanice says that a crime hasn’t even been proven as there was no body. She’s worried that if it gets out that there has been a murder, it will spell trouble for the 4400.

Mildred and LaDonna meet with Claudette. Claudette says LaDonna’s friend Steve and the other former security guards were the ones who wrecked the bar. Claudette gives Mildred the envelope -- inside is a purple bracelet.

Mildred now realizes that the protestors have her sister. Mildred and LaDonna check out the protest site. Mildred is determined to save her sister.

FLASHBACK: It’s mealtime at the commune. Caleb, the leader, is making a lengthy speech. Before it’s over, Millicent sneaks a bite. Caleb calls her out for being selfish. Mildred defends her, but Caleb doubles down. He feels her pulse and urges her to slow it down.

Caleb takes away Millicent’s plate and tells her that she is not allowed to eat until everyone else is finished.

Andre finds Shanice and asks about Logan. Shanice tells him that Logan is finally asleep, and now she is looking for Hayden but can’t find him. Andre tells Shanice that he and Keisha examined the crime scene and found no blood trail, which should be there if the body had been moved.

Andre suggests that Shanice looks into Logan’s memory to see if they can glean anything further. Shanice is reluctant.

Claudette reads in the bar. Keisha shows up, asking about the vandals and wondering the violence might be related to what happened to the Rev. Claudette mentions that Manny has the power of invisibility. Keisha is surprised since Jharrel never mentioned Manny’s powers. Keisha calls Jharrel.

LaDonna and Mildred skulk through the protestors’ camp, looking for Millicent. Millicent finds them, and the sisters hug happily. Millicent tells them she was taken two years after Mildred. Suddenly, men appear, throw hoods over Mildred and LaDonna’s heads, and drag them away while Millicent supervises.

Shanice explains to Logan how her powers work and what she wants to do. Logan tells her he just wants to go home. He gives her his hands, and she goes into his memories.

She watches as Logan sees the Rev lying on the floor bleeding. Logan runs out of the room, and behind him is a flash of green light (which he doesn’t notice).

Mildred is tied up to a chair. Millicent tells her that LaDonna is in the next room with a gun to her head. Millicent explains what happened to her when she was taken, saying Bill Greene was kind to her at Ypsi Med.

Millicent says that Mildred’s 4400 are selfish and irresponsible, much like the girls’ mother. Millicent says the Bois Blanc is a cult, and she means to save her sister.

FLASHBACK: Caleb leads a circle with a group in the commune, including Millicent and Mildred. Caleb asks Millicent a question, and she responds. He checks her pulse, then Mildred’s pulse. He accuses Millicent of riling up her sister.

As everyone disperses, Millicent insists to Mildred that they leave. She tells Mildred she can be her teacher, and there is a bus they can catch not far from the edge of the commune. Mildred agrees -- if Millicent promises to take of her, which she does.

Andre checks on Shanice. She is shaken, and tells Andre about the green light in Logan’s memory. Shanice is worried that they could be taken again if the green lights are back. Andre tells her they should keep it a secret in order to avoid a panic among the other 4400.

Andre posits that it may have something to do with the ZMT in their blood. He ponders what scientific equipment he might need to do the appropriate experiments. Shanice worries about losing Andre and kisses him.

Jharrel draws a clock on the wall. Claudette comes out. Jharrel says he just wants to find Manny again. Claudette suggests Manny doesn't want to be found.

Claudette tells him that she saw Manny, that he called himself Jorge, and offered to train her -- as well as other 4400. Jharrel wonders why neither Claudette nor Manny told him.

Shanice finds Hayden in the basement bar. Hayden is suspicious of Mildred, thinking she killed the Rev. Shanice asks if this is part of his vision. He thinks that Mildred is going to attack the Bois Blanc.

Shanice says that she also has trouble with visions and what they could mean. She tells Hayden that Logan could use his company.

Millicent tries to convince Mildred to join her side.

FLASHBACK: It’s nighttime. Mildred and Millicent walk away from the commune. Caleb appears and stops them. Mildred sides with Caleb. Caleb assures Millicent he’s not mad. Mildred wants them both to stay. Millicent apologizes for being selfish and agrees to stay.

Mildred recounts that eventually she realized that they were trapped. Millicent grew to follow Caleb’s doctrine. Millicent believes that what is transpiring now is meant to be -- she can “repay the favor,” Mildred helped set her on the right path. Millicent says she feels safe.

Mildred admits that the Bois Blanc 4400 don’t like her. Mildred apologizes to Millicent and offers to help. Millicent feels Mildred’s pulse and notes that her sister is lying. Mildred yells that she will not be brainwashed again.

Claudette has assembled a group of Manny’s revolutionaries to rescue Mildred and LaDonna. There is a knock at the door. One group member uses X-ray vision to look through the door and says it’s Steve. Claudette opens the door and drags him in.

Steve says he came to apologize and warm her -- Ken reported her to the tipline, and they are coming for her.

Andre and Shanice check in with each other. Shanice says that BHN is sending a representative to check security at the Bois Blanc. Shanice tells Andre that BHN wants to meet him in person, but she doesn’t want him to risk his safety to do that. Andre wants to go, not just for himself, but for everyone.

There is a knock at Claudette’s door. The security guards break in with guns and bulletproof vests. The apartment is empty. Ken opens the bedroom door. It trips a release of debilitating gas.

LaDonna and Mildred sit side by side, tied up, with hoods over their heads. Suddenly, their hoods are pulled off. It’s Claudette and her gang, come to rescue them. One of them is from the Civil War era, and he and LaDonna make eyes at each other.

Mildred says that Millicent betrayed her, and she’s with the other side. They ask about Millicent’s power, but Mildred says she doesn’t know.

Keisha confronts Jharrel, saying Manny is selfish and she knows about his power. Manny appears, saying he needs what she’s got in the bag, thinking it’s the knife. She pulls out the copy of A Wrinkle In Time, and Jharrel cuffs Manny to himself.

Jharrel says they figured Manny would eavesdrop, and they wanted to catch him to find out if he knew what happened to the Rev. Manny says that once he knew the Rev could cancel out powers, it was worth it to kill him, because with what’s coming, the 4400 needs to be as strong as they can.

Keisha asks what Manny did with the body, but he doesn’t know what happened to it.

Mildred, Claudette, LaDonna, and the others discuss what needs to happen. They suit up and go in through the secret back entrance of the Bois Blanc.

Manny tells Keisha that there is a video on the 44orum about how the protestors will be attacking and invading the hotel. Jharrel asks how Manny knows what he knows. Jharrel says he cares about Claudette and what happens to her and begs Manny to tell him what’s going on. Manny takes him to the window.

Andre goes out in disguise. A black stretch van pulls up beside him, saying he should get in if he wants answers. He gets in.

Logan and Hayden start to head out. The mob is loud and can be heard through the door. Shanice follows them, asking if it’s even possible for them to leave safely. A metal trash can comes crashing through the front glass doors.

Manny explains that the green light first took him to 2062. He came to 2021 from the future to make things right.
