The episode opens with tickets being sold for the sorority gala. Nate wants to pledge it as one of the few inclusive ones.

Thea is pledging too. They both want to make new friends.

Jordan texted Simone about their virtual date.

JR wants back on the football team, but the coach says he'll need to get approval from his teammates.

 Damon tells Simone he's going to Chicago to try to get answers from his dad. She offers to come along.

Damon's mom tells Damon not to get his dad upset and then tries to get to know Simone better. Damon's dad's Alzheimer's has worsened, and he thinks Damon is Uncle George and can't answer anything.

Damon looks devastated, and Simone tries to comfort him. He's so frustrated his dad has worsened, and he is worried about his mom.

JR tries to apologize to the team, but they want answers.

Once Damon and Simone return, Nate asks if Damon will do the bachelor auction.

Damon gets a call that his dad is in the hospital. Simone comforts and holds him.

Keisha thinks Simone is having an emotional affair with Damon and watches them like a hawk at the gala.

Damon talks about his dad and Alzheimer's, so that is charity. Everyone chips in money to help versus buy him as a date.

JR called a gym meeting and explained all his family issues and why he was so angry.

Damon returned to dance with Simone, and they had some moves until she backed away.

Simone was afraid, so she called Jordan. Damon's parents called him. His dad mentioned Selene, which could be JR's mom.
