Eddie’s boyfriend, Josh, asks Jamie to come dinner with them and his sister, Caroline who is visiting. During their dinner, an armed robbery takes place and Jamie and Eddie take down the two assailants. Afterwards, Caroline won’t stop texting Jamie because she thinks it’s hot, and Josh breaks up with Eddie.
Angela, who was dating Joe when he was killed, invites Frank and the family to her upcoming wedding. She’s marrying Steve, an NYPD detective. Danny wonders if they are only being invited so that the detective can make it look like he’s close to the Police Commissioner and his family, but it turns out to be the opposite. Steve was upset about the invite because he thought the P.C. might view it that way. The entire family decides to attend the wedding.
Malik Najari is a 9 year old boy who ends up in the hospital after being beaten up by his father. Unfortunately, Danny and Baez can’t arrest the father, Assan Najari, because he has diplomatic immunity. Despite the protestations of the Deputy Secretary of State, Frank puts Child Protective Services on the case. They put Malik in foster care and schedule a hearing. When the judge declares that Malik cannot go home until it is deemed safe, Assan and his wife prepare to leave for Morocco without their son.
Assan’s wife, whom Danny and Baez suspect that Assan also beats, pulls a gun and shoots and kills Assan. She cannot be charged because she has diplomatic immunity.
