Jamie and Eddie are called to the scene of a woman having a baby in a movie theater. They help deliver a baby boy. The mother gives them an address to contact the baby’s father, but the house is falling apart. Jamie reports the house as unsafe and the couple is forced to move into a shelter.

Later, Eddie pulls some strings with someone who did business with her father and gets the husband a job as a building super which includes an apartment. They are thrilled, and name their son Eddie, but they think that’s Jamie’s name.

Danny and Baez are called to the hospital where they arrest Raymond Stevens for beating his ex-girlfriend, Faith Matheson. They encourage Faith to get an order of protection before Raymond is released from jail. Once released Raymond tries to run Faith off the road, but she makes it to the precinct. Unfortunately she can’t identify the driver as Raymond because it was too dark. 

Raymond shows up at the hospital and starts shooting people when he can’t find faith. He eventually hunts her down but Danny shoots him in the head before he can kill Faith. Afterwards, Faith asks Danny out to dinner but he says it’s too soon after Linda’s death and he still feels like he’s married. 

Shelly Wayne gets arrested when she refuses to leave Riker’s Island when they won’t allow her to see an inmate, Teresa Hill. Teresa swears a prison guard killed her friend and fellow inmate. 

Frank has Riker’s look into the death. The woman was found dead with a sheet wrapped around her neck. They say it was suicide but they’ve lost the security video from that day and the guard in question has been accused of sexual assault twice, but it was never investigated. 

Shelly accuses the system of corruption during a radio show, upsetting Frank and his staff. Shelly tells Frank that he doesn’t know what it’s like not to have a voice. Later, Frank goes to one of her vigils for people who have lost children to violence and when she calls upon him, he relates some stories about Joe.
