Joanna makes a game plan for the trial: Kodie will make a list of enemies. Billy will check Kodie's place for incirminating evidence. Joanna will meet with Kodie's eldest, Madison.

Luna is worried about Taylor. Joanna tags her in to get files for the case, but she can't get access because she is not a lawyer so Joanna sends Kat. Luna has a confrontation with Kodie's ex about Madison's paternity.

Diane worries Owen is becoming obsessed with Sam Mercer and keeps thier confrontation from him, which he is unhappy to discover.

Billy finds cocaine hidden at Kodie's place and confronts Joanna about it. He doesn't mention the money troubles.

Joanna learns that Madison's Auntie Crystal tried to recruit Madison to the family gang with a violant initiaion; Kodie did not respond well. She took Madison to the hospital who thought she could be abusing Madison.

Luna and Kat discover Madison's teacher's sexy secret and Joanna uses it in court. Luna and Kat drink scotch and bond.

Kodie's ex-mother-in-law Marlene wants full custody of the kids. Her and Kodie yell at each other at court about sobriety and each is required to take a drug test. Marlene's comes back clean; Kodie's does not. Marlene gets custody.

Joanna decides to stay and keep helping Kodie. Billy agrees to stay with her.
