Marcel awakens on Blake's couch. She has coffee for him. He says he had to stay to check on her health since she was poisoned last night. He hopes she's taking it easy. She plans to peer review journal articles and prep testimony for a case.

Dr. Charles runs into his old therapist at the dentist's office. She has lots of excuses for not seeing him and then says he should see a different therapist. She will email him some referrals.

Scott has stayed with Carmen's son in the hospital while Carmen did errands. There has been no word from Tyrell.

A construction worker is brought in who seems to have had a seizure or something and cut his leg off with a saw. The other construction worker who brought him in is sent away and the guy admits that has epilepsy and his meds don't seem to be working. Marcel says let's take care of your leg first.

Will asks how things went with Stevie's ex. She says they went well. Will wants to take her out for a drink. She fumbles an answer and then admits she is trying again with her husband. Also her ex wants to get her a job at a different hospital near him. Will is cynical about this or maybe jealous.

We have a pregnant woman who spilled boiling water on her abdomen. Also she has a slight fever and foggy brain. Scott examines her and finds out she has had a cold for two weeks (has anyone done a COVID test?) Archer checks her burns and says the fetus is fine. Scott wants to check out her lymph nodes and a strep test.

Archer tells Scott that these are first time parents.

Stevie tells Marcel that the epilepsy diagnosis was premature and the patient needs to be in a seizure unit to find out what's really wrong with him. Archer takes Marcel aside. He wants to know if Blake is seeing anyone. Archer thinks Blake is interested in him.

Maggie shows up late and Vanessa teases her about it. Maggie tested negative for COVID but is not feeling well. Shaky and nauseated (is she pregnant??)

A woman with Alzheimers has fallen and comes into the hospital. She says her daughter was out but she doesn't have a daughter. A woman shows up and says she is the patient's daughter. She feels terrible about leaving her stepmom alone. She was at an overnight shift and then went to get cookies for the caregiver.

Archer has test results for Scott. The pregnant woman has syphilis. Archer says he can't tell the husband.

The construction worker can't take a week off to go to a seizure clinic. Besides, his insurance won't cover it. He has three kids, a wife with MS, a roof caving in, etc. All of a sudden he starts seizing.

Sharon says they have to consider Mrs. Torres' well-being. Is there any chance of domestic violence? There isn't. Scott is worried her husband could have syphilis too. Sharon says the department of health will take care of it. Archer thinks Sharon should give the news to Torres instead of him and runs away.

Stevie thinks the patient has PNES and his seizures are exacerbated by stress. She will talk to social services and see if they can get some financial resolution so the patient can afford to go to the seizure clinic.

Lorraine's daughter asks Will to find someone to read the X-ray ASAP. Will goes to talk to Charles. He doesn't think the patient has Alzheimers but a year ago she appeared to. Charles says he will talk to Lorraine and do an under-the-radar assessment shortly. Charles calls Lonnie and says he wants to continue his conversation with her.

Vanessa tells Maggie her labs are back. Maggie is pregnant.

The pregnant patient says she can't have syphilis as she's only been with her husband and tested negative a few months ago. She can't believe her husband would cheat on her while she is carrying their child. How are they going to fix this? Sharon says they will give her penicillin and usually that will resolve it. But it can cause organ damage, severe anemia, etc. Her husband comes running in and Emily attacks him. Scott takes Torres to a consultation room. Archer tells Sharon this went about as well as he expected.

Vanessa goes through the questions. She'll reach out to obstetrics. Vanessa is happy for her. Maggie seems upset but says she's fine.

Marcel has given Pete some sort of drug. Stevie wants to know what he is doing. Why didn't he tell her ahead of time? She says this is unethical. He says he disagrees. Marcel says they had no other options.

Charles comes to see Lorraine and her overbearing daughter. Lorraine is able to quote poetry. The daughter realizes he's a psychiatrist and asks to step outside.  She doesn't want her mother undergoing unnecessary testing. Will shows up and explains he wants new brain scans. Cindy says no and that Lorraine is just having a good day. Cindy says that Lorraine's mom and grandmother died of Alzheimers so this has been hard for her.

Scott gives Torres a penicillin shot. Torres says Scott must think he's the biggest piece of garbage on the planet. Scott tells him he has to live with the choices he made. He thinks Torres should just be there for his wife and baby now.

Charles has found out that the doctor that supposedly diagnosed Lorraine died 5 years ago--long before Lorraine was diagnosed.

Vanessa has gotten an appointment for Maggie. Ben can't make it but she won't let Vanessa go with her. Vanessa can tell Maggie is upset. She wants to be here for her. Maggie doesn't want to hurt Vanessa. She's excited about the baby but she doesn't want Vanessa to feel she didn't want her too. Vanessa says she's not making comparisons. Maggie is her friend more than her mom and she hopes she's hers too.

Cindy interrupts Charles talking to Lorraine and won't let her answer. The cops show up and arrest Cindy for bank fraud. She's taken away and Will and Charles encourage Lorraine to get an MRI.

Emily has gone into labor before the antibiotics have done their thing. She is 9.5 cm dilated. Emily is worried about the baby. But she's too far progressed to wait. Sharon agrees to stay with her. Torres sees Emily leave and wants to be with her. Scott offers to ask. Torres doesn't want to upset her further.

Stevie explains Pete is not faking it. Marcel explains what he did (using a placebo)  Pete wants to talk to a supervisor now.

MRI confirms Lorraine does not have Alzheimers. Cindy stole scans from St Lukes where she works and stole all of Lorraine's money. She wanted revenge on Lorraine for being an "evil stepmother." Will is shocked. Charles says abusers can cause you to question your own perceptions. Will looks longingly at Stevie as she passes by.

Maggie has an ultrasound but it shows there is no baby in her uterus. It's something else.

The OBGYN doesn't know yet what it might be. Vanessa says it could be a benign tumor.

Archer will refer the patient to a friend of his who is a neuropsychiatrist. He doesn't think Marcel needs to apologize. Stevie is still on her high horse. Archer thinks nothing is wrong with what Marcel did. Marcel tells him that Blake isn't seeing anyone. Archer says may the best man win.

Scott tells Emily the good news that the baby tested negative. Torres cries outside the room. Scott says maybe with time and space he and Emily can patch things up.

Will apologizes to Stevie  and hopes it all works out.

Scott comes to see Carmen. He wants to apologize for years ago. Carmen says forget it, they were kids then. Scott says it's impossible not to think about what he missed by ruining everything.

Lonnie comes to see Charles but doesn't have a lot of time. He's thrown off by their conversation. They've had a long successful working relationship and he would like an explanation. Lonnie says she's cutting back on her hours. Charles doesn't believe that. She says there's a professional conflict but won't say what. Charles hopes he didn't make her uncomfortable. She says she has feelings for him and walks out.

Marcel comes to see Blake. She says Archer invited her to dinner but she told him she doesn't dip her pen in the company ink. Marcel wonders if she'll make an exception. They kiss. Avery walks in on this and says is this why you ended things with me?
