Recap

People we don't know are suited up and looking for debris.

A woman is in the middle of a field under the influence of Debris, asking for Bryan.

Finola and Bryan are arguing over his driving. She got a mint chip macchiato all over her.

Finola calls her dad to discover he's driving from Oregon to Virginia to get to the antennas.

Mariel Caldwell is a local high school teacher. She hasn't said anything but Bryan's name.

Mariel is repeating things from Bryan's past in Afghanistan.

She's repeating conversations from his life, including his mother's last words before he left for Afghanistan, "I'm going to miss you when you're gone."

When Mariel grabs Bryan, he's back in Afganistan, having passed out in the cube.

Finola tries to reach Bryan, but he's out.

An op is approved, and Bryan says it's a little too late here to make a difference.

Bryan is having an idiopathic neurological event.

Mariel spits out coordinates that link to Sarobi.

Bryan recalls meeting the woman from the photo his clone was clinging to. Her name was Asalah. He saved her. She wants him to save her grandfather.

She says music is food for the soul.

Maddox arrives, wondering how Mariel knows what she knows.

They call Bryan Bene (Benny) in Afghanistan.

Brian promised Asalah that her bubba would be safe.

Finola thinks that the debris holds pieces of them.

They find the debris, and for all intents and purposes, it's no longer active. So Finola says they need to use electroconvulsive therapy.

Maddox wonders if that drug he's taking is losing its reflectiveness. He asks the doctor to up the dosage.

This is a very boring story. I expected something far greater to have had such a significant influence on Bryan.

As he's getting electroconvulsive therapy, the past and present collide.

When Bryan joined, he thought they could change the world, but now he's worn down.

They're giving shock after shock to his brain, but nothing is pulling him out. And my guess is that we won't know any more than this boring story by the end. How the hell do we even talk about this in a review?

Bryan screams that he knows what's going to happen at the scene in the past. He says he has to stop it. And suddenly, he's alone in the past except for Aslaha, dead on the ground.

He took her to her bubba, who wept over her body.

When he wakes, Mariel is dead.

Bryan says that when he took Asalah to her bubba, he said that Asalah was there to warn him of an ambush.

That group was protected because of an ongoing CIA operation, and if Maddox hadn't pulled him out of prison, he would still be there.

Bryan wishes Maddox hadn't stopped things.

Blackwater grandfather and metal something or other.

Everything at the end always lends more info to the story, and this time, the voices say they found Beneventi wounded. They wonder what the hell happened to these men.

Debris Season 1 Episode 11 Quotes

I don't carry this so that I remember her. I carry it so that I don't forget what it's like to invest in something that I can lose.

Bryan

Maddox: We decided to start with doubling your does, alright?
Bryan: What happened to me had nothing to do with the injections not working.
Maddox: We have to cover all of our bases. Make sure.
