Recap

Dexter contemplates Harrison's razor. Deb wonders if Harrison remembers Rita's death. Deb tells Dexter that Harry's treatment of him was child abuse. Dexter wants to help Harrison, but Deb insists that telling Harrison his true identity would destroy the boy.

Kurt shows Chloe into her suite at the cabin. She marvels at his kindness, and he tells her she should simply "pay it forward."

At the police station, Logan informs Angela that Matt's credit card report confirms that he was at the Gramercy in New York City for the last three nights. Angela considers going to confront Matt, which Molly encourages. Angela notes that there is also a missing persons conference in the city she was hoping to attend. Molly agrees to expense the trip to her podcast. Logan is left in charge of the station.

Harrison returns home. He sees his razor in Dexter's hands, hurt that his father went through his things. He insists he only carries it for protection -- he was robbed while living on the street and subsequently wanted to be prepared. Dexter tells Harrison Ethan's side is different, and Harrison tells his father to say outright what he's accusing him of. Dexter tells Harrison he's not in trouble. Harrison departs angrily, saying there's no way he can trust someone who's living a lie.

Zach and Scott show up and take Harrison to a party.

As Angela packs, Audrey asks if she can hang out with Harrison, Zach, and their friends. Miriam, who is staying for the weekend while Angela is away, insists that Audrey will be back by 11. Miriam assures Angela that Harrison is a good kid and that she needs to be more lenient with Audrey.

At the party, Harrison realizes it's for everyone who was on Ethan's Kill List -- making Harrison the guest of honor. Everyone cheers on his arrival. Though he is quiet at first, he gives in to the celebration.

Dexter goes to the tavern and orders Jameson from Tess at the bar. Tess asks about Harrison and suggests the name of a therapist.

Kurt shows up in a boisterous mood and plays "Runaway" on the jukebox. Tess remarks that Kurt gets like this every few months and always plays that same song. She then tells Dexter that Kurt will ask her to dance, which he promptly does, and she obliges.

At the party, Harrison and Audrey have a chat. She worries that the true crime podcasts may have been too much for him, but he says he liked them. Audrey asks him how it feels to have power over people's lives. Harrison asks her how they got the Kill List, and she admits that she took a photo of Ethan's book from her mother's office.

Audrey gets pulled away, and Harrison gets approached and kissed by a girl, who takes his phone and puts it in a bowl with everyone else's. She gives him a gelcap of Ecstasy.

Harrison continues to drink and gets high, wandering the party in a fog. A girl dares him to carve an 'H' in her foot. He takes the knife from her and slices her skin. The girl is shocked, and her friend helps stem the bleeding. Harrison is disoriented and wanders away. Scott gives him a blue pill.

Audrey checks in on Harrison. Harrison confesses to Audrey that Dexter doesn't believe his story, but his dad is the liar, and his name isn't even Jim Lindsay. Audrey tries to get Harrison some help. He asks if she believes him, and she tells him that she does. Harrison blacks out and collapses. Audrey runs to get her phone and calls 911.

Harrison comes to, with Logan in front of him. Audrey is there, too. Logan tells Harrison to take it easy, as the Narcan will make him feel woozy. Harrison insists he's fine. Logan asks what he took, and Harrison looks to Scott. Logan lays into Scott, asking what he gave Harrison, threatening to arrest him. Scott gives Logan the blue pills, saying everyone else took them and they were fine.

Dexter shows up at the hospital and finds Harrison. The doctor informs Dexter of what happened and tells him that Harrison overdosed on fentanyl, a cheaper, more lethal opioid used for cutting purer drugs.

Logan arrives and has a chat with Dexter. Logan tells him that Scott's brother got the pills from a street dealer named Miles out in Moose Creek. He offers some advice to Dexter about being there for his son, but Dexter snaps at him.

"Deb" follows Dexter out of the hospital, screaming about how this is all his fault.

Dexter tells Harrison he is going to start seeing a therapist. He will also only be allowed to attend school and come home. Harrison remains cold and aloof.

Chloe bangs on the door, trying to get Kurt's attention. She hears footsteps upstairs. She notices the red light coming on above the surveillance camera. She gets a closer look and reads the words, written in red, "You're already dead."

Molly and Angela arrive at the Gramercy in Manhatten. Angela gets a phone call from Logan, telling her what happened to Harrison and how Audrey saved him. Angela wants to come home, but Logan reassures her that Audrey is fine.

At the front desk, Molly tries to get some answers from the clerk to no avail. Angela displays her badge and asks about Matt Caldwell. The clerk tells them Matt checked out the night before. Angela asks to see the security footage. The clerk tells her this is an invasion of privacy. Angela threatens to get a warrant, and the clerk reluctantly agrees, telling them to come back in the evening.

Dexter serves Harrison breakfast, reminds him of the therapist's appointment, and leaves. Harrison throws his breakfast in the garbage.

Dexter grabs some garbage bags, and then visits to Dr. Patel, the veterinarian. While Dr. Patel is helping a cow give birth, Dexter asks for pain management supplies for his goat. She tells him to take what he needs, and she will bill him later. He grabs some ketamine, syringes, and plastic sheeting.

Dexter drives to the Crystal Bar in Moose Creek. He grabs a syringe of ketamine and heads in. He orders a beer and keeps his eyes peeled until he spots a drug dealer in the corner of the bar doing a deal. The dealer approaches the bar, and Dexter asks him if he is Miles. Dexter asks for some "blues." Miles takes him outside.

Behind the bar, Dexter injects Miles in the neck with ketamine, just as the police roll-up. Dexter tosses the syringe aside and starts beating Miles up. Logan emerges from the police car and pulls Dexter off Miles. Teddy cuffs Miles and Logan tells Dexter to follow them back to the station for some paperwork.

At home, Harrison packs up his things and leaves.

In Manhattan, Molly and Angela attend a talk at the Law Enforcement Conference about finding patterns in seemingly unrelated cases -- with speaker Angel Batista of Miami Metro Homicide.

At the station, Logan interrogates Miles. Dexter eavesdrops. Miles gives Logan the name of the guy who makes the pills - Jasper Hodge. He tells Dexter he can go as soon as he fills out some paperwork.

Harrison walks through Iron Lake.

Logan gets an address for Jasper Hodge, telling Esther he won't be able to get a warrant for a least 12 hours. Esther extends her sympathies to Dexter regarding Harrison, and Dexter hugs her so he can get a look at Jasper's address.

At the cabin, Chloe tries a new tactic. She removes her shirt for the camera. Through a speaker, Kurt tells her not to. Chloe takes off her bra. Kurt closes his computer in frustration.

At the conference, Angel talks about the Bay Harbor Butcher. Molly mentions to Angela that she did an episode on him, saying that they believed it was a cop from the same precinct. Angel goes on to say that all of the Butcher's victims were killers who had gotten away with crimes and that once you find the common thread, one person is likely behind them all.

Dexter arrives at Jasper Hodge's house. Deb begs him to leave Hodge alone, saying it's not about the Code but revenge. Dexter affirms that

Dexter sneaks into Hodge's house, finding the room where the drugs are made. At last, he catches Jasper and injects him with ketamine.

Kurt dresses in his hunting gear. He unlocks the door for Chloe, telling her she is free. Chloe starts to get ready but then refuses to leave. She grabs a broken shard of a mirror as Kurt makes his way down. Kurt enters, and Chloe lunges at him, slicing his face, but he overpowers her.

Kurt drags Chloe outside and tells her to run. She comes at him. He shoots her through the eye, killing her. This upsets him. He starts to cry and panic, and he shoots her in the heart.

After the talk, Angela approaches Angel, and they talk shop. She tells him about the missing women and the pattern. He says there isn't much of a pattern and flirts with her. She shuts him down, but they continue to discuss the missing women. He asks about her gut and when she started feeling that something was off. She tells him about Iris.

Angel advises Angela to listen to her gut. He tells her that it reminds him of the Trinity Killer and how no one realized those murders were related, except a young detective named Debra Morgan. When Angela asks about Deb, Angel explains that she died, along with her brother, and mentions Deb's nephew, Harrison.

Dexter has set up a kill room with Hodge on the table. Dexter tells Hodge about his drug victims, but Hodge tells him that they all asked for it. Dexter is about to stab Hodge in the chest when he hears a car pull up outside. Dexter looks out the window and sees that it is Logan.

Kurt comes upon Harrison, who tells Kurt he is heading out of town for good. Kurt offers to buy him a meal, to which Harrison agrees. Harrison notices the cut on Kurt's cheek.

Dexter forces a lethal amount of drugs into Hodge's nose and then cuts him loose.

The police enter Hodge's home and search. They find him slumped over in a chair, dead.

Angela and Molly review the footage from the night before. The man who checked out under Matt Caldwell's name looks nothing like the real Matt. Angela takes a photo, pretending it's all she needs. Angela and Molly leave, bewildered as to why Kurt would lie.

At the diner, Kurt tries to talk Harrison into staying, offering him advice about being kind. Kurt offers Harrison a job.

Angela returns home and hugs Audrey, reassuring her that Harrison will be fine. Audrey tells Angela that Harrison told her his father's real name isn't Jim Lindsay.

Dexter gets home, asking Harrison if he wants dinner. Harrison tells him therapy went well and then goes to lie down.

Angela goes to the station to do some research. She finds Dexter Morgan's obituary, complete with his photograph.
