Recap

Dexter considers the fact that Kurt might be delusional. "Deb" suggests that Kurt is actually lying because he believes Johnny Bullhorn killed Matt (for shooting the deer) and wants to exact his own revenge. There is also the chance that Kurt will continue to dig and discover that Dexter is the one who killed Matt.

Angela calls Dexter, asking if he has heard the news about Matt. Dexter tells her that Kurt is the one who told him and explains how he picked up Kurt drunk and gave him a ride home.

Harrison gets up and makes himself breakfast -- a protein shake. Since he made the wrestling team, he has to put on some weight. He mentions that all the guys on the team are "fuck nuggets," which reminds Dexter of Deb. Harrison asks Dexter if he misses her. Dexter admits that he does. Ethan arrives to pick up Harrison.

Kurt shows up at the police station. Logan hugs him, and everyone states their relief that Matt is safe.

Angela brings Kurt into her office and questions him about the call he received from Matt. Kurt says Matt looked like he was in a hotel and uninjured, but Kurt didn't ask what happened. Kurt apologizes to Angela on behalf of Matt for the trouble she went to with the investigation. Angela tells Kurt to get Matt to call her. Kurt says it's unlikely, as Matt is probably on a bender and is challenging to reach in these cases.

Molly Park shows up at the police station, trying to get into Angela's office. Logan tries to stop her. As Kurt leaves, Molly explains to Angela that she and Logan has a fling earlier. Molly asks about Matt Caldwell, but Angela deflects, saying the story is over. Molly continues to pry, and Angela threatens to arrest her.

Molly leaves, telling Logan to call her. Angela asks Logan to run Matt's cards -- if he's staying at a hotel in New York City, as Kurt said, something should show up.

Dexter fills up his tank. He watches Kurt in the diner, talking to a young woman with green hair.

Harrison sits alone in the gym, going through episodes of Molly's podcast "Merry Fucking Kill." He finds an episode about the Trinity Killer and listens as Molly describes Rita's death, including how he was there as a baby.

While at work, Dexter gets an Emergency Alert on his phone, saying the high school is in lockdown. He calls Angela, who tells him that there are multiple injuries and that Harrison is involved. Dexter leaves work and rushes to the scene.

At the school, Dexter sees Ethan being taken away on a stretcher, unconscious and bleeding from the leg. Teddy takes Dexter into the auditorium to see Harrison, who has a stab wound in his ribs. Dexter surveys the blood at the crime scene.

Angela questions Harrison. Harrison explains that Ethan had been planning a school shooting and wanted him to be part of it. Harrison says he tried to talk Ethan out of it, and that's when Ethan stabbed him. Harrison then fought back and tackled Ethan, sliced his leg, and Ethan passed out. Harrison expresses his concern for Ethan's well-being.

Logan find's Ethan's sketchbook, with the violent drawings and a kill list. He shows it to Angela. Angelas asks Harrison if anyone else could have been in on this with Ethan, but Harrison assures her he was Ethan's only friend.

Later than evening, Dexter checks on Harrison. Harrison tells his dad that he's still freaked out and asks if Dexter has ever been scared like that in the past. Dexter says yes, and Harrison asks how to deal with it. Dexter doesn't have an answer. They awkwardly say goodnight. "Deb" taunts Dexter, saying that Harrison is so normal, there is no way for Dexter to connect with him.

In the morning, Dexter changes Harrison's bandage and offers to stay home with him. Dexter notices the angle of the wound and begins questioning Harrison about the attack. Harrison gets defensive, and Dexter apologizes. Harrison gets up and leaves. Dexter tells Deb that the stab wound isn't consistent with Harrison's story.

Harrison goes to the hospital to visit Ethan, who is still sedated. Harrison speaks to Ethan's parents, who explain that Ethan lost so much blood he could have died. Ethan's mother explains that their family will have to leave Iron Lake. She tearfully berates Harrison, saying that he should have told them sooner. Ethan's father tells Harrison he appreciates what he did, but they never want to see him again.

Dexter arrives at the police station. Esther asks about Harrison. Dexter nods at Audrey and heads into Angela's office, where he sees various photos of the injuries and weapons. Angela enters, surprised that Dexter is interested, stating that she was messed up knowing Audrey was on the kill list. Audrey overhears this and enters.

Audrey notices Ethan's open sketchbook. Angela asks Audrey and "Jim" to leave. Dexter tells Angela that he has some information -- Ethan's weapons were from Fred's. Audrey takes some photos of the kill list.

Dexter heads to the school auditorium, the scene of the crime. Using Deb to talk it through, Dexter replays the encounter in his head. Dexter deduces that Harrison sliced Ethan's leg first and then stabbed himself in the ribs.

Dexter makes Harrison breakfast. As Harrison eats, Dexter asks him about Ethan. Harrison insists he didn't know anything until that day at school. There is a knock at the door. Kurt Caldwell shows up with a gift for Harrison. Kurt congratulates Harrison on his heroism. Harrison opens the gift -- his very own drone. Harrison heads off to school.

Alone with Dexter, Kurt praises Harrison while lamenting that his son is such a fuck-up. Kurt says Matt is worse than Ethan because he actually killed people. Dexter assures Kurt that Matt didn't mean to crash that boat. Kurt says Matt didn't crash it -- he wasn't even driving -- and asks Dexter how he knows about the incident. Dexter tries to cover, saying Angela and Esther had mentioned it. He says that kids are born the way they are, and he shouldn't be too hard on himself. Kurt leaves.

At the police station, Angela lets Dexter know that Harrison won't be charged for stabbing Ethan, as it was self-defense. Angela also tells Dexter that Ethan claims to have never stabbed Harrison -- that it was an unprovoked attack. Dexter states that he doesn't want to pursue a civil case against Ethan or his family. Dexter is convinced Harrison used a different weapon.

Molly shows up at Angela's office and mixes a martini. She provides Angela with information about one of the missing women on her board, with photographic evidence that she is alive in Tulsa, as well as a phone number. Angela is surprised but impressed. Molly says she got the information from her online fans. Molly also presents three women on whom no information was discovered -- missing women that only Angela is looking for.

Angela shares the story of Iris with Molly -- Angela's best friend in high school who "ran away" but was never searched for or located. Angela vowed when she became a cop that she would be different. She has a sense that something terrible has happened to all these missing women, and she is determined to get to the bottom of it. Molly wants to help, citing that her resources could be beneficial. Molly suggests that she cover the story while Angela investigates. Angela agrees.

In his office, Kurt looks through childhood photographs of Matt. One of his employees comes to fetch him, saying there is a girl in the diner who won't leave. He listens to a message from Angela and hangs up.

Kurt approaches Chloe, the girl with green hair. She tells him she was going to use the money he gave her for bus fare, but instead, she bought food and a new warm coat. She asks him for another $80. He says he can't keep giving her money but offers her a job. She insists that she is not staying.

Logan addresses the students who were on Ethan's kill list while Dexter searches Harrison's room. Zach gives a shout-out to Harrison. Harrison makes a speech about Ethan, saying that he's happy no one got hurt, but they shouldn't have treated Ethan so poorly. Audrey is the first to lead the applause.

During Harrison's speech, we see Kurt taking Chloe to a secluded cabin, with the same hurricane doors Lily burst out of in Dexter: New Blood Season 1 Episode 3

Dexter finds a straight razor hidden inside a flashlight in Harrison's room, just like the one Trinity used to kill Rita. Dexter kisses the razor and smiles.
