Sam gets a gift for Isaac to celebrate the advance of his autobiography. Sam gives him a $12 candle, but Isaac feels he should get half of the $20,000 advance. Sam relents and splits the advance with him.

Alberta shuns Hetty because she knew the identity of her killer.

Kelsey, the daughter of an exotic dancer, visits Woodstone Manor and claims she's the daughter of David Woodstone. Kelsey believes she's the true heir of the manor because her father was the direct heir of the last living Woodstone heir.

The ghosts plan to hold a ghost court to mend the fences between Alberta and Hetty.

Sam and Jay speak to their lawyer about the validity of Kelsey's claim. The lawyer tells them that he will run a DNA test, but he confirms that David Woodstone loved to hook up with exotic dancers.

The ghosts are excited about what Isaac will do with the money. Isaac wants to buy a daybed from Pottery Barn; Nigel is upset that Isaac wants to buy another daybed. Sasappis, Flower, and Nancy explain to him that Nigel wants more of a commitment from Isaac to be in his room.

Dan reveals the DNA test confirmed Kelsey as the true heir.

Sam and the ghosts are upset about the news. Jay reveals that Kelsey is open to accepting a settlement instead of getting the estate. Trevor reveals that David Woodstone didn't visit the same strip club where Kelsey's mom worked; they think Kelsey might be scamming them.

Ghost court is held to pass judgment on Hetty's decision. Hetty apologizes to Alberta about her decision and explains how she has changed since the early days. Alberta brushes past it and wants punishment.

Trevor and Thorfinn give Isaac advice about how to handle the argument with Nigel.

David Woodstone reveals that he couldn't be Kelsey's father since he became sterile in 1993 from a coffee accident. Kelsey was conceived in 1997.

Isaac proposes to Nigel; he accepts the proposal. They agree to move into the same room together. The plan is to move into one of the guest rooms together instead of sharing the daybed.

The ghost court issues that Hetty will be banished to stay in the woods for the year. Before Thorfinn throws Hetty into the woods, Alberta reconsiders the idea of banishing her. She offers to let Hetty stay and forgive her if she switches rooms with her. Hetty agrees, so she'll now have to sleep in the same room as Flower.

David Woodstone reveals he had an aneurysm in the strip club.

Sam and Jay confront Dan and Kelsey about the revelation of David Woodstone. It's revealed that Dan concocted the plan to fool Sam and Jay into selling their house for less; Dan needed to cover some gambling debts. Sam and Jay kick them both out.

A bright white light beams down on the manor. One of the ghosts got sucked off into the afterlife.
