On Hawaii Five-0 Season 6 Episode 7 Steve goes on a first date with Lynn who he met through Ellie. They take the boat out to go snorkeling and then afterward go explore a nearby deserted  island where an escaped mob boss has been hiding out for 4 years with his girlfriend. After some cat and mouse games between the two couples through forest, Steve and Lynn finally get the upper hand and take them to the Feds to spend the rest of their lives in prison. Since they made it out alive, they considered the date a success and Steve asks her out again, only this time for coffee.

Meanwhile Chin, Kono and Grover go to the local high school football game. It becomes obvious to Chin that the star quarter back Jesse is having an unusually bad day on the field. Chin discovers that a drug runner whose business is going under has kidnapped Jesse's dad and will kill him unless he throws the football game. Chin persuades Jesse not to throw the game and he will go rescue his dad. Grover and Chin barge in with guns a blazing and save his dad just as he is about to be killed. Jesse turns the game around and wins it.
