Hawaii Five-0 Season 6 Episode 7 Review: Day Trippers

at .  Updated at .

I wasn't sure how much I was going to warm up to Steve's new love interest on Hawaii Five-0 Season 6 Episode 7.

Thought maybe it was too soon, and he wasn't ready. He had been with Catherine for a long time and seemed to stay faithful to her hoping she would come back.

Apparently Grover thought the same thing. But after watching it, she may or may not be "the one" but she may be what he needs now, someone to have fun with and help with him moving on. Nothing serious, just having fun. They did have some chemistry together.

When Lynn noticed the reaction from Steve over the selfie photo and offered to delete it, I was thinking, run Lynn, run, these rebound romances rarely work out. He looked at the photo like he was thinking Catherine should be the one with him, not her. Going by Chins scale, Lynn must be thumb worthy.

I'm with Grover and am way too fond of my digits to go there. I have never heard that expression before. Now that is cringe worthy. I laughed when Kono kept saying "Guys, I'm right here."

First of all, I'm not cutting off none of my digits for some weekend booty.

Grover

There were some heart racing moments with them being chased through the forest. Of course, some of us could probably sit on the couch and watch paint dry with Steve and still get the racing heart. Exploring deserted Hawaiian islands sounds like fun, as long as they aren't inhabited by people like Logan.

As soon as I saw the big bon fire, that was their boat, I knew they were in trouble. I can't imagine going across 38 miles of ocean in that rubber raft.

The climb up the waterfall was great. In my experience, waterfall rocks are slimy and slippery and very hard to get a good grip to climb up. They made it look easy and it's not.  At least Steve slipped a bit to make it more realistic.

It looks like there will be a second date. Nothing quite as scary as the first one. Coffee is pretty harmless, unless the shop gets robbed.

Lynn: Are you asking me on a second date?
Steve: We'll go for coffee, how about that.

I felt bad for the poor kid in the second story. With the college scouts in the stands to watch him play and he can't play his best for fear his dad will be killed. I knew Grover and Chin would save him, but man, that was a close call. A few seconds later and dad would have probably been killed. So I guess it's a good thing when every second mattered, Chin drove like Steve. It is always nice when Chin brings his car out to play.

I thought Chin got a little too aggressive in the interrogation room with one of the thugs. All that blood coming out his mouth, made me gag. I don't know, there is something about the mouth.

No Danny this week, but at least we got to see him quite a bit last week. Grover certainly was the comic relief tonight. It was hilarious when he plopped down between the two henchmen, ate their popcorn and enlightened us with his take on what an excellent shot Kono is. Don't mess with Kono.

Glad it all worked out in the end and Jesse won the big game and hopefully a scholarship to play football.

What did you think of Lynn? Do you think it is too soon for him to start dating? Have you ever heard of the thumb-worthy scale?

Steve: Is he the type to exaggerate a story.
Lynn: Oh I don't know, he did say he caught a thousand pound yellow fin tuna once.
