In the J Star Cluster's "Quad" planetary system, Killjoys Dutch and Johnny capture a warrant.
John soon notices that one, Kobee Andras, has been marked with a Level 5 kill warrant. He tells Dutch he's taking some "me" time, and ends up in a slaver ship's fight cage face to face with Andras.
When Dutch visits her broker, Bellus, she's told John went after this Level 5 warrant in her name. Dutch is not happy, but it turns out Andras is really John's brother D'avin.
The two fight it out in a cage match, and discuss their estrangement while Dutch makes her way there. She arrives in time to knock D'avin out with a neural block before a rival Killjoy kills him.
Once aboard their trusty ship, Lucy, we learn D'avin's kill warrant was taken out by the Company - a mega-corp that controls the Quad - and that Killjoys work for an independent organization known as the R.A.C. (Recovery and Apprehension Coalition).
Dutch and John reach out to Alvis, who is part of Westerley's resistance, for information on an important fugitive. Alvis informs them his ex-collaborator had stolen from the Company and told them where he could be found.
Undercover at an event on Qresh, Dutch and D'avin locate their mark. Unfortunately, Dutch is poisoned by Fancy Lee, her rival Killjoy. While John and D'avin retrieve the data disk, Dutch is healed by her mysterious mentor. We learn via flashback, that he trained her as an assassin at a very young age.
Ultimately, the trio fight their way off Qresh and strike a deal with the Company to cancel D'avin's kill warrant.
While D'avin is impressed by Dutch, he doesn't exactly trust her. He warns Johnny of this, but his little brother refuses to listen.
In the episode's final moments, Dutch receives a red box; a new mission from her former teacher.
