Recap

In Mexico three girls are whispering about a modeling job and one is told to speak English. She is nervous about not being chosen. The models will be going to NYC. For $5,000 she can make her dreams come true but she only has 500.

In NYC, the three girls are ordered out of a van and told to take drugs as it has been a long trip. The girl from before won't take the drug or give up her phone. The girl hits the goon and tries to run away. He starts beating her up and pours pee on her and burns her alive.

Rollins is still not around. Benson says Carisi is taking Rollins and the girls to Orlando.

Fin wants to know if Stabler is okay as he heard he was kicked out of OC. Valesco interrupts to say that a man from his parish needs to talk to them. The man has a voicemail of the three girls being tortured.

Fin gets a call about the burned body of one of the girls being found. Valesco is visibly shaken.

Homeless guy found the body. They might have to wait on DNA and dental to ID the body. Valesco identifies her by the cross she was wearing. He goes to call the priest. The priest will pray for the other girls and for Valesco.

Valesco is very upset. The priest helped get him to America and away from the cartels and was a surrogate father to the dead girl. Valesco wants to go under cover but Benson and Fin tell him to go home and rest. Valesco ignores orders, instead driving down a surprisingly empty road to talk to some prostitutes. A Mexican prostitute will only talk to him if he pays her $50. He pays up and it turns out she's a UC who arrests him. Her boss won't let him go because Benson didn't know anything about this operation.

Benson and Fin arrive at the 29 to straighten things out. Chavez says that cops falsely claim to be working on a case when she busts them. Benson tells Velasco that McGrath is not happy and neither is she. If they weren't short staffed she'd take him off the case. But as it is, she wants to work with the 29 to find out what they know.

Chavez knows of a bakery where there's a lot of gossip. Fin complains about the walk. The woman running the bakery wishes SVU had come up here before it was too late but makes a connection with Valesco.

The cops go to a seedy motel but no one will talk to them. FInally they find a young girl who cries when she sees the photos of the victims.

Chavez tells Velasco he was good with the girl. He thinks she's afraid of men and Chavez should talk to her.

Velasco gets a call from Lucinda. THey decide to meet in the bakery. A speeding car runs over Chavez and Lucinda disappears.

Rosanny dies. The cops are determined to find the killer and the missing girl.

The bakery woman is upset and only trusted Rosanny. Valesco talks to her in Spanish.

Valesco goes to a secret clinic for undocumented people and pretends to be injured. He finds Lucia.

Lucia just wants to be let go. She is afraid she will be killed. She owes some bad people money. Benson keeps impressing on her that she can trust them. Lucia says the girls are to be sold to another ring. She says there's a police captain that made them have sex with him.  She had told Rosanny before she died.

Benson meets with Rosanny's captain. They pretend not to know where Lucia is. Velasco has gotten info about the traffickers. Velasco says he has gotten some phone numbers they contacted. He calls a number to see and the captain's phone rings.

The captain has had lots of complaints but been promoted to captain anyway. Lucia is in protective custody (how long before they get to her anyway?)

Lucia is brought in for a lineup. The defense attorney complains she is taking too long. She recognizes the captain.

The captain claims he had consensual sex with Lucia. Benson doesn't buy it and tells him not to insult her with lies. He says he didn't rape anyone.  Benson wants to know how complicit he was in Roseanny's death. He says it's their fault for sticking their nose in. He can get them the girls if Benson gives him more respect. He wants immunity and full retirement and insists he didn't rape anyone. Fin calls Benson out of the room and whispers something to her. Benson tells him that Lucia is only 15. He should think about what tlife for a pedophile cop will be like in prison.

Baptiste says well played. Benson says she wasn't playing. Baptiste says they need him to find the girls and the traffickers.

The captain is made to call Jorge and say he found Lucia and can bring her to him. Jorge has a buyer for the other girls. Jorge says he wants the captain to to get a new burner and meet him somewhere.

Velasco joins the operation. Fin thinks this is a lot for him but Benson thinks Velasco's got this.

After some initial mistrust, Jorge brings one of the girls out of a motel room. For some reason Jorge doesn't understand Valesco's Spanish when Valesco says he will pay 40k for all the girls Jorge pulls a gun on them. Valesco pulls his and a bunch of cops show up. There is a stand off with Jorge being surrounded by cops and not dropping the gun. He finally does and is arrested. Benson releases the girls.

Valesco updates the priest, who thanks hIm.
