Three teenagers on a bike witness a man getting thrown out a window. Someone starts shooting at them and they take off.

Riggs brings home a dog for Ben. Murtaugh visits RJ at his dorm, but he's not there.

Riggs and Murtaugh are on the scene. They check out the counterfeit money operation.

Murtaugh gives Avery his theory on the counterfeiter. Hank Peterson from the Secret Service to help with the case. 

Riggs meets with Cahill to talk about his father which he avoids talking about. She doesn't want him to talk to his father. He opens up about his relationship with Molly.

Riggs and Murtaugh get to a hotel where the three witnesses are and Riggs chases after one of the kids while Rog is with the other two in the room. The kids have been using the fake bills.

Rog questions one of the boys and Riggs questions the other to find out the name of the third kid. Murtaugh watches the kids' videotape with Peterson. Riggs goes after the third kid.

Peterson and Murtaugh investigate a lead. They find the woman from the videotape.

The bus gets ambushed and Todd takes off.

Riggs gets a call that the dog went missing and he goes to Molly's house to help Ben find the dog.

RJ gets home and his parents are waiting for him to talk. RJ is busted because he dropped his classes. He tells them he's going to drop out of college.

Riggs finds Todd at the beach and watches the sunset with him.

Murtaugh and Trish talk about RJ dropping out of school. Riggs talks with Todd. Molly calls Riggs that the dog was killed. His neck was broken. Todd runs off and ends up in the trunk of Agent Peterson. Of course, he's a bad guy and sends the other bad guys chasing after Todd when he gets away.

Riggs and Murtaugh figure out Peterson is the bad guy. Riggs chases after Todd to save him and tells his story to the kid. Peterson tells Murtaugh his sob story.

RJ comes up with an alternative plan for college while Riggs visits his dad in Texas and tells him he's going to kill him.
