Magnum and Higgins' latest assignment is to repo a stingray (the fish, not the sportscar).

The owner returns before they've contain the stingray but he walks by obliviously.

T.C. is frustrated by his lack of progress at rehabilitation in the two weeks since his toe twitch.

T.C. keeps ducking Magnum's visits. He's avoiding everyone.

Rick is tongue-tied around Piper when she drops into La Mariana to pick up her order.

Juliet talks with RIck concerning his feelings about Piper.

Kumu drops by unannounced to visit her friend, Ying.

Kumu brings Ying to Thomas and Juliet.

Han, a new overseas friend single mother Ying made, convinced her to invest her in a scam, then stole her life savings.

They're going to help her recover her savings.

T.C.'s mother Verna refuses to take no for an answer and bursts in to visit with him after flying there from North Carolina.

Magnum, Higgins and Kumu have to pour through two years of texts between Ying and her scammer.

Rick asks out Piper on a date.

A bird in a photo of Han proves that he's on Oahu, not in China.

A painting in the background helps them pinpoint which hotel he was staying at.

Magnum and Higgins discover that hotel was shut down in 2020 during the Covid outbreak. 

Chinese gunmen take them prisoners. There's a whole scamming network set up at the former hotel.

The guards lock them in a storage room until their boss returns.

The guards throw a wounded man into the room and take Thomas away.

The wounded man, Tang, explains that all the scammers had been tricked into coming to Hawaii for non-existent jobs. He's been there nearly as long as the hotel has been shut down.

Magnum keeps getting his head dunked in a tubful of water to make him talk.

Higgins overcomes the guard who comes for her, taking his gun and knocking him out after he tells her where Thomas is being held.

She uses his phone to call 911.

Magnum uses a shower curtain hook to open his handcuffs.

Juliet takes out the guard and the boss and rescues Thomas.

Han's cousin says he was taken away two days ago after he refused to bleed more money out of Ying.

They explain to Ying and Kumu that Han was a victim as well.

Ying asks them to continue searching for Han.

The hotel's owner took a loan from the triads which he couldn't repay and he's afraid to talk now.

Katsumoto and HPD take the local triad headquarters.

Then he lets in Magnum and Higgins to look for Han.

They discover Han is about to be purchased.

A shootout ensues and Han is taken hostage by a triad member.

Thomas surprises the gunman and takes him down.

Afterward, Ying meets Han. Katsumoto explains that $97 million has been recovered so far.

After storming off earlier, T.C. returns to find Verna still waiting for him.

T.C. calls Magnum to invite him to drop by.

Rick stops by to see Suzy before his date with Piper. She tells him not to go and they kiss.

The stingray ate all the fish in the La Mariana aquarium.
