Recap

The episode kicks off 2 years after the disappearance of Flight 828.

A young Olive is still grieving and tells her mom she knows Cal and her dad aren't dead.

They stop by a tarot card reading where the fortune teller gives Olive a card with a peacock, the same one as on the compass Mic found in the future, and tells her to look to the future.

Grace informs Ben about this when she finds the compass.

He gets a Calling to "save her," but doesn't know how he's supposed to save Olive.

The X'ers, a Flight 828 hate group, attacks the Church of the Believers. Isaiah and Olive are the only two setting up. Isaiah gets beat up while Olive pulls the fire alarm and runs out of fear that her parents will find out.

Later, she comes clean to Mic about being at the Church and identifies a witness.

She tells Ben and Grace also, and they get upset because they believe the Church is putting a target on their backs.

Ben is also super concerned because an X'er ran Grace and Cal off the road. Grace and the baby girl, which the doctor accidentally reveals, were fine.

Once Mic can identify the X'ers, she gets the location of their headquarters and moves in.

Chief Bowers is skeptical but allows her to follow the mission through.

When they arrive at the warehouse, everyone is gone. Mic knows they've been tipped off and tells an angry Bowers that they have a mole.

Jared hangs out at the bar where the bartender he's interested in works at. Her brother is an X'er and brings Jared to meet the "boss" after he gave them a tip that the cops were moving in on him. He's the mole.

The boss turns out to be the professor who hired Ben at the university and Erika's husband, the woman from Grace's Calling.

Meanwhile, Zeke tries to make amends with those he hurt in the past. He starts by meeting with Courtney, his ex, but she's not interested in his apologies.

Later, she arrives at Mic and Zeke's apartment asking for help.

And she informs Mic that she's Zeke's wife... whoops!

Ben is so upset about the X'ers and Olive attending the Church that he goes to beat up Adrian and warns him to stay away from his daughter.

During a "mass," as attendees chant that they believe, Isaiah looks on at Adrian is disgust proving that he's an X'er in disguise. The Calling that told Ben to "save her" probably referred to Isaiah and not Adrian.

Manifest Season 2 Episode 5 Quotes

Mic: Don’t you want to see the people who did this to your church punished?
Isaiah: It is not my place to judge

Mic: Today was baseball bats, tomorrow might be guns. Do you see where that’s going?
Adrian: I believe in Gandhi's path. The minute we move to the offensive, we become a force to be feared. Then, sympathy evaporates.
Mic: So this is a PR campaign?
Adrian: This is about instilling hope.
Mic: To what end? People are getting hurt.
Adrian: To a world that understands and embraces us as a miracle.
Mic: Embraces you. Donates to you. That’s what you’re all about, isn’t it?
