- Max and his lawyer are in mediation with Gwen and Calvin who accuse him of being an unfit parent and putting his job ahead of Luna. They bring up all the ways he's been reckless at Luna's expense.
- They bring up how Georgia died under his watch and he never put her first either. Max relents and says that maybe they're right.
- Mina is filling out college applications, but she shuts down any of Helen's help before she could even give it much.
- Iggy stays home with the flu.
- Floyd tells Lauren about Lyn and wants advice on how to end things since it's not the type of thing he envisoined, but he's drawn to her.
- FLoyd's young patient, Kyrie, comes in with some heart issues after having a transplant. Despite their concerns, there is no evidence that she's rejecting the heart she got in the transplant
- Casey suspects that his and Lauren's patient who comes in and is disoriented is a KGB spy from the Cold War.
- Max returns to the hospital and Reed, a lab tech, tells him that the fridge with 1000 vaccines conked out and they will have to toss all of them. Max refuses to accept that and jumps into trying to make a decision. He wants to advertise that they have vaccines available and six hours to give them on the website so they don't go to waste.
- Chance is there when Iggy wakes up for water.
- Max doesn't like that the people who show up for the vaccine look like wealthier people who aren't in need of it, and he takes the vaccines because he wants to give them to people he feels needs them the most. (what if those people waited this long to get it because they were dutifully waiting for people in need to get it first? What if they ARE in need since their presumed wealth or status doesn't mean they aren't high risk? Oh, Max).
- Lauren's patient says that someone wants him dead, and someone comes to see him claiming to be his son, but he says he doesn't have a son. Casey is in charge of putting him a room hidden away untl they figure out how he got poisoned.
- Mina feels ambushed when Helen tries to get her to have lunch with the Dean of Colombia.
- Kyrie's liver is failing.
- Chance says Iggy needs to help him. He tels him that Iggy is reminding him of his father and no one else helped him then either and that's why he did what he did. He set the fire on purpose.
- Max hits the street trying to appeal to parties to take the vaccine. He hears all the reasons why people don't trust New Amsterdam or hospitals, including a woman citing the experimentation and long history of medicine agaist Black people, but they all say they got the vaccine and that he should look at the holdouts in his own backyard.
- Lauren speaks to Niku's son, and it still seems weird, but he has ID. She tells him and his wife of how strange things are. She takes them to Niku, but he's gone, so is Casey, and Casey's phone is on the floor after what could've been a struggle.
- Kyrie isn't a viable candidate for a liver because of her multiple organ failures.
- Max talks to Todd about why he's a holdout and many of his conservative friends at the hospital too. Max asks him to work with him.
- Casey and Niku are on the roof. Niku says that it was his drugs and he would rather die than go to a home. Lauren reminds him that his son never really knew him, so maybe he should share.
- Kyrie's blood type changed when she had her transplant, and that's why she's been sick.
- Todd comes with everyone, but by the time they're about to start, its too late and they've officially expired.
- Iggy tells Chance about how he feels responsible for his brother dying in a drunk accident. Martin comes to check on him, and it appears as though Iggy gave him a message.
- Iggy tells Chance that he'll get the restraining order lifted and they can resume sessions. The police are waiting for him when he leaves. Iggy breaks down.
- Floyd tells Lyn that he can't.
- Iggy is still shaken up about Chance and tells Martin he lied about his brother to survive.
- Lauren spills everything to Layla.
- Helen tells Max to fight for Luna. She talks to Mina about her father.
- Max goes to Gwen and Calvin's home and tells him that he'll never stop fighting for Luna, and if they go to court, theyll lose, and they'll never see Luna again and he doesn't want that. He tells them he's taking her home.
