- Helen and Max arrive and London and get their apartment ready for Luna's arrival. They all have a great time.
- Fuentes is not well liked at New Amsterdam with the others doctors avoiding and ignoring her. She calls a department meeting last minute and let's people know they'll be fired if they don't attend it.
- Trevor is still hitting on Iggy and he still avoids saying he has a husband.
- Lyn gets an ultrasound and she's worried about the baby having spinal muscular astrophy. Baptiste and Floyd await information about it together, and it's awkwrd.
- Lauren is still trying to get in touch with Leyla who isn't taking her calls. Leyla took a job at the VA to get away from Lauren.
- While headed to the hospital, she sees a man struck by lightning
- Fuentes cuts more programs and insists on more procedures to make the most profit whether the patient needs them or not.
- She also announces that they have a new head of Holistic medicine Mia, who they lost department funds and other things for.
- Wilder arranges a secret meeting in the morgue to form an insurrection against Fuentes. The trio are reluctant to work with her until she gives a speech about how Max inspired her and wonders what he would've done. They still shoot her down, though.
- Helen is channeling her inner Max at her new job and seems to be doing well but the numbers are down becauseMax of Max's inability to handle things at the front desk.
- Lauren is upset when Mia takes her lightning patient.
- All of the inpatients with vocations as part of Iggy's vocational therapy program are let go and get upset.
- Lightning guy thinks that he's cursed and Mia can help him by aligning his chi
- Lauren runs some tests while Mia insists that her way is valid too and Lauren finds that Greg/:ightning guy has cancer.
- Floyd and Baptiste talk about the future and whether one should step away depending on the results of the child's paternity test.
- Wilder comes up with a solution for Iggy to hire his patients officially. He realizes she's right and is like Max, so he agrees to join her.
- Veronica shuts down Greg's surger, so Lauren goes to Wilder for help finallly. Wilder finds an alternative way to do the surgery.
- Iggy is able to hire everyone but the Santa guy.
- Lyn is upset about the guys going to get a paternity test against her wishes.
- Max connects with the cancer patients in the waiting room who comlain about the way the system is set up for them and pledges to help.
- Lyn feels like she's miscarrying and kicks out both Floyd and Baptiste who are bickering about her care.
- Wilder and Lauren do Greg's surgery in the morgue against Fuentes' wishes risking everything.
- Max inavertently starts a protest with the canceer patients at the clincic just as the head of NHS is there to visit Helen and comments on her American proposals to English healthcare.
- Floyd and Baptiste told the lab to destroy the paternity tests and they apologize to Lyn.
- Greg thinks Mia is the one who saved him.
- Iggy arranges for Santa to interview with Veronica as her newest assistant.
- Lauren, Iggy, and Wilder celebrate their wins. But Mia found out that Greg had the surgery anyway
- Roderick repeals Helen's proposals and slashes her funding. Even though Max finally got his license in, she fires him and he has to figur eout something else to do, but she's afraid that he'll resent her for it. He tells her he loves it there and her.
