- Max is in Veronica's office and lays down a threat of his intentions until Helen interrupts him with a phone call. By the time he goes back to threatening Veronica, she calls security who removes him from the premises.
- Max got information about deals that Veronica negotiated and shares them with Karen.
- Floyd feels the awkwardness when everyone is avoiding him or not speaking to him.
- Iggy talks to a young man Nick who believe he survived a heinous shooting that took place at a grocery store, but his father tells Iggy that it was a false flag operation and that the shooting never happened.
- Floyd's patient needs an endocrine surgery to remove a tumor from her pancrease but they're rare specialist to find. They learn that it's Veronica's specialty, so she'll do the surgery
- Max goes to the urgent medicine place that's in conjuction with Veronica's plans and goes to work there.
- Wilder has a patient who is dying and wants a surgery that can elongate his life span so he can be there for his daughter's wedding.
- Floyd believes that Veronica's hesitation to perform the surgery when the patient could die sooner rather than later is becuase she's afraid she's not ready to jump back into the surgical side of things.
- We get flashbacks to Veronica's early days. Her superior tells her that they can't do a lifechanging surgery on a patient because it would be too expensive and the patient may not survive it.
- Drew shares that his father is one of those conspiracy theorists. He wants Iggy's help deprogramming his father who believes even what he went through is fake.
- Max strikes a deal with Antonio, the head of the urgent medicine unit for his board seat
- Wilder seeks Mia's help for extending her patient's life, and Mia makes fun of Wilder for assuming the worst hokey things about holistic medicine
- Drew thinks he's making a breakthrough with his father, but it doesn't work.
- In the flashbacks, Veronica goes agains her superior's wishes and performs the surgery anyway even fi ht could ruin her career.
- In the present, Veronica takes Ms. Jordan to the or and starts surgery even though Floyd is livid about it.
- Max pitches to the people who Veronica fired to get them to join UMI.
- everyone says no to Max in part because they know he'll be leaving, so what's the pont after he was the reason they got fired in the first place.
- Iggy tells Drew that he's the one who has to change to deal with his father. Becuase he's the only one insisting on talking about things.
- In the past Veronica promised to help her colleagues who were thratened that they would get fired for helping her.
- Veronica closes up Ms. Jones because her tumor invaded too much of her organs. Floyd doesn't want to do it and wants to defy her orderes.
- Max and Floyd have an argument on the rooftop.
- Drew chooses to focus on things he and his father like together.
- Mia uses Tibetan sound bowls and such to get the patient Louis to envisoin being there to walk his daughter down the aisle
- Veronica tells Floyd that she was in his positoin once.
- Floyd reaches out to the others and gets them to show up at UMI to Max's surprise including Lauren.
- Max and Helen have phone sex.
