After turning over a welcomed leaf and leaving her last house behind, Blanca has finally formed the House of Evangelista and in their second ball appearance manage to take home two first-place trophies. That includes the category of Legendary Runway, whose reigning winner is the head of the House of Abundance, Elektra. To celebrate, Blanca goes to a well known gay bar but faces transphobia at the hands of predominantly gay white men. Unwilling to let the incident go, Blanca makes it her mission to return to the bar but when she does, the cops are called, and she lands in jail. Elektra is the one who uses her passability – and monthly allowance – to get Blanca out with one condition: they battle again for the legendary title.

Meanwhile, Damon doesn't take home a trophy, but he does walk out of the ball with a date – the attractive and charming Ricky. Damon's first foray into the world of dating seems exciting as he and Ricky hang out and begin making formal date plans. However, the bottom of a burgeoning romance appears to fall out after Damon skips out on an evening with Ricky to attend his very first ballet, courtesy of his school dance instructor. The experience opens Damon's eyes to his potential future and the magic of art but causes a rift with Ricky, who feels left behind by Damon. The two seemingly part ways, but Damon doesn't give up and is finally able to convince Ricky he's serious about their relationship. As a sign of good will, they attend a ballet performance together.

Across town, Stan and Patty get into a fight about finances after Stan buys a Cadillac but refuses to buy a dishwasher. When Stan brings up the tensions of his home life to his boss, Matt, during a casual conversation, Matt figures out he's having an affair. In what appears to be a sign of support, Matt makes Stan a deal that gets him his dishwasher if Stan is willing to work extra hours.
